Disgruntled TNA Wrestler, Trigg-TNA Update, Steiner's Injury

There appears to be at least one disgruntled wrestler within the hallowed walls of TNA. A TNA wrestler currently in the midst of a push made the following remark to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter: "iMPACT! sucks so much I don't even watch myself on television anymore."

To update on some reports regarding Frank Trigg and TNA Wrestling, Trigg was never a pro wrestling fan and was said to be quite negative towards the industry in a conversation with Mike Goldberg as recently as February. However, a month later he got a call to participate in TNA who was looking for an MMA voice to add more credbility to the build-up for Kurt Angle vs. Samoa Joe. The decision to use Trigg was reportedly said to be Mike Tenay's call. Trigg knows Kurt Angle through amateur wrestling and both spent time together at UFC 81 in Las Vegas (which was the night Brock Lesnar made his UFC debut). Trigg is still said to be a natural at pro wrestling and is expected to make his in-ring debut soon tagging with Angle unless plans change. TNA is said to be paying him well to come to Orlando and train.

Scott Steiner's knee injury did end up getting worse at the June 20 house show in Bloomington, IL when he worked against Samoa Joe. Steiner worked a tag team match the following night in Danville, but he couldn't work after that point and will now be out for an extended amount of time after getting surgery recently.

TNA will be sending A.J. Styles, Jay Lethal, Sonjay Dutt, Chris Sabin, Alex Shelley and either Curry Man or Johnny Devine to the July 25th Arena Mexico show. This is part of the exchange deal that got the CMLL wrestlers to work the World X Cup. Each man will only work one date for CMLL.
