Ken Shamrock vs. Kimbo Slice, Angle/ESPN, 'Mania, & More News

MMA legend and former WWE Intercontinental champion Ken Shamrock will be fighting EliteXC headline fighter Kimbo Slice on October 4th. The fight will take place from Florida and will be the main event of EliteXC's Saturday Night Fights special airing on CBS. A Press conference was held this afternoon and got pretty rowdy. Ken Shamrock said he's upset about his recent string of losses and will not be a stepping stone for Kimbo.

The upcoming TNA Knockouts DVD features an extra titled "Gail Kim's final interview" which took place on 8/21.

ESPN.com has a good interview up with Kurt Angle where he talks about many things including his opinion that TNA runs too many gimmick matches.

President George Bush has declared an emergency in Texas and state authorities began ordering evacuations as deadly Hurricane Ike, which strengthened Thursday to a powerful Category Two storm, churned in the Gulf of Mexico toward the Gulf Coast of Texas. Tickets for the annual pop culture extravaganza were originally scheduled to go on sale on September 20th. WrestleMania(R) XXV takes place on Sunday, April 5, 2009, at Reliant Stadium in Houston, Texas. Tickets will be available at the Reliant Stadium Box Office and all Ticketmaster locations.
