Jeff Hardy Escorted Off Airplane By Police

PWInsider.com reported yesterday that there was an incident Wednesday morning at the Nashville International Airport involving WWE star Jeff Hardy. The incident occured around 11 AM when Hardy, who was traveling with brother Matt and Gregory Helms, was removed from a flight by police officers.

An eyewitness told PWInsider that "They weren't touching him though, but they had him flanked.

"He was wearing the same clothes he left the building in Tuesday night.

"Once they got him off the plane they allowed him to use his phone, before leading him away."

The story has made it's way to WWE offices and there was concern among many in the company. SunSport in the U.K. followed up on the story, and a WWE spokesperson informed them that they were investigating the matter and will take appropriate actions if needed.

ProWrestling.net noted that Nashville International Airport spokesperson Emily Richard told them that she was not aware of an incident involving Hardy and that no report in regards to the incident had been filed with the airport.

Jeff Hardy is scheduled to face Triple H for the WWE Heavyweight Championship at No Mercy on October 5. The promotional posters have solely featured Hardy.
