Big Daddy V's New Name, Hell In A Cell, Swagger's Streak, Loads More

The name that former WWE Superstar Big Daddy V will be using on the independent circuit is King V, obviously a play off his old WWE gimmick of King Mabel. V will be wrestling at the NWA show on 10/4 in Robstown, TX where Ric Flair will finally be inducted into the NWA Hall of Fame.

WWE's Shopzone website is now taking pre-orders for their Hell in a Cell DVD and are also offering a package that comes with a t-shirt. The package is going for $26.99 while the DVD by itself is listed at $24.66.

WWE is still touting ECW Superstar Jack Swagger as being undefeated with a 2-0 record, as recent as their preview for tonight's ECW on Sci-Fi. Swagger lost to Finlay at a SmackDown/ECW live event in Bowling Green, Ohio last night. It'll be interesting to see if WWE acknowledges this loss in the storyline. I believe Swagger may have lost a match or two before on the live shows.

WWE Superstars John Morrison, The Miz, Funaki and Diva Layla will be teaming up with the Houston Food Bank to help out local residents who were affected by Hurricane Ike on Wednesday, September 24th between 1:00 and 3:30pm CT. The food distribution will take place at the Impact Ministries Distribution Center at 2405 Colorado Street in Houston. WWE notes that the Superstars will not be available for photo opportunities or autograph signings with the fans. As posted before, Cryme Tyme's Shad Gaspard has also helped out in Houston with the disaster relief.
