WWE Canada sent out the following press release today: WWE Canada Holiday Bash at The Score On December 21, 2008 at 2pm, there will be a special taping at The Score TV Studios at 370 King Street West (King/Peter) in Toronto. The next ROH PPV will air on January 16th, 2009 and be titled Rising Above 2009. This will be the first PPV on DirecTV for PPV, and will feature Bryan Danielson vs. Nigel McGuinness for the ROH Title.

The ROH OnDemand service will begin in February on Direct TV.

The company had crowds of 700 in the St. Louis area and 600 in Nashville, TN. A return date of March 19th, 2009 was announced for the St. Louis area, but none for Nashville. Nashville was selected because the company wanted a venue close to St. Louis area on that weekend.

Cary Silkin is now taking a more active role backstage at the live events. He discusses plans with the performers and gives advice in regards to what he is looking for out of their work.

ROH may run in Houston, Texas during Wrestlemania XXV weekend, but nothing is set in stone right now.

SHIMMER Champion MsChif had to miss the weekend shows due to a severe infection.

Mark Briscoe held up well this weekend, he is currently working through a banged up knee.

Mark and Jay Briscoe will face Kensuke Sasaki and Katsuhiko Nakajima at Final Battle, which is December 27th at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York.

There is talk of bringing the upgraded production equipment to Philadelphia and New York City in December, but that is not confirmed at this time. The recent footage from the Chicago PPV that was a part of the most recent newswire was a vast improvement over the old ROH production.
