Brian Kendrick Speaks On WWE Release, J.R, Mania Special, More

In an interview with the Dragon Gate USA website promoting his debut for the company against CIMA on September 6th, former WWE wrestler Brian Kendrick comments on his release from his previous employer for the first time. Kendrick said he's happy to not to be in WWE anymore as a comedy heel designed to "make old men laugh." While he plans on incorporating some of what he learned in WWE into his wrestling style on the indy circuit, he will ultimately wrestle in a style that pleases himself. Kendrick summed up his time in WWE by saying neither side was compatible. "I had some fun in WWE," Kendrick said. "I learned a lot, made some friends. It's a corporation, I am a human. This human didn't fit into the corporation's plans, and that corporation didn't fit with my human side. I had some laughs, but I am awfully happy the ride is over, and I don't want back on."

Jim Ross has updated the Q&A section of his website, which you can check out at JrsBarBQ.com.

The NBC WrestleMania special will not air in Baltimore, due to the Baltimore Ravens Pre-Season game against the Carolina Panthers. There is no alternate airing scheduled.

Diva-Dirt.com has an interview up with former WWE Diva Torrie Wilson, where she discusses her career and the projects that she is now involved in. On part of the interview that is very interesting is that Wilson says that she was never released by WWE, but made the decision to leave. Here are her thoughts…"I called WWE and told them I did not want to come back. I was getting tired of all the travel and knew I wouldn't want to go back as an interviewer or something. They were willing to work with me and find something for me but it was time for me to go. My heart wasn't in it. Do I think it was lame that I got the "future endeavors" message instead of even a "Torrie has retired" message? Yes. But a week later I was over it."
