– The following presser was released earlier today by FCW: FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: ** Smackdown Superstar Edge at FCW Wrestling Tomorrow Night** Eustis, Fl ? October 22, 2009 The Lake County Fairgrounds Expo Hall is the county's largest building featuring 15,000-square-feet of space. On Friday night, October 23rd every ounce of that space will be utilized when the building plays host to a special appearance by one of World Wrestling Entertainment's top stars, Edge. Last July, Edge suffered a tear to his Achilles tendon. The injury has subsequently kept him out of action. Anxiously preparing for a comeback to WWE Television, the man known as the "Rated R Superstar" has been vigorously rehabbing as he prepares to make his return. While on that road to recovery, the former World Heavyweight Champion will be making the trip to the Lake County Fairgrounds as part of a Florida Championship Wrestling super card. Florida Championship Wrestling is the only developmental training ground for the future stars of World Wrestling Entertainment. Having already produced such WWE stars as Kofi Kingston, Jack Swagger, Sheamus and Yoshi Tatsu to name a few, its only natural that a sure fire future WWE Hall of Famer such as the 6'5 250 pound Edge would be interested in taking a look at the future of the WWE. Having grown up in Toronto, Canada, Edge's high school pals once wrote in his yearbook, "Most likely to win the WWE World Championship." After receiving free wrestling training from an essay contest for the Toronto Star, he was on his way. A highly regarded recommendation from fellow Canadian and WWE Hall of Famer Bret "Hit Man" Hart paved the way for Edge to make his World Wrestling Entertainment debut in June of 1998 and he hasn't looked back since. Today his accolades include nine World Heavyweight Title reigns and a record 14 World Tag Team Title reigns among others. Those are just some of the accomplishments that the stars of Florida Championship Wrestling hope to achieve one day on the bigger stage of World Wrestling Entertainment. The card will feature current Florida Heavyweight Champion Justin Angel, Florida Tag Team Champions–Bo and Duke Rotundo, and the FCW Divas. Also appearing are from Smackdown Curt Hawkins and Eric Escobar, from ECW Sheamus, Tyler Reks, Abraham Washington, Gabriel and others. Gold Circle Tickets (rows 1 through 3) are for $30 including a free personalized picture with Edge while General Admission tickets are adults at $15 and kids at $10. Edge will be signing for Gold Circle Ticket Holders from 6pm to 7pm and General Admission from 7pm to 8pm. Bell time for the show is 8pm. Tickets are available online at www.FCWWrestling.com, Dan's Feed Store in Umatilla at 11 Main Street (407) 880-1211, Lake County Fairgrounds Box Office and Buddy's Home Furnishings in Apopka located at 11 West Main Street. Card subject to change. For more information please login www.fcwwrestling.com.
