-- ROH sent out the following announcement today… Ring of Honor Wrestling is proud to announce it will be taping six episodes of its television show, seen nationally every Monday night at 8PM and 11PM ESTon HDNet, at the Davis Arena in Louisville, Kentucky on Thursday, December 9th and Friday, December 10th. Coming on the heels of ROH's debut live event in the Derby City on July 22nd, which sold out the 400 seat arena at 4400 Shepherdsville Road in Louisville, "ROH–TWO NIGHTS ONLY" marks the first time in the program's 18 month run on Mark Cuban's network that it has been taped outside the city of Philadelphia, and it's being spread over two nights to accomodate both the number of matches that will take place, and the demand for tickets. "Seating each night is limited to 400?, said Jim Cornette, Executive Producer of ROH on HDNet, "and after the VIP tickets for the July event sold out in a few hours, we realized a two night stand was the way to go. With an event of this magnitude–literally every ROH superstar on the roster will be appearing both nights with around 30 wrestlers in all battling in at least a dozen matches on each event. This will be the first national TV taping ever from the Davis Arena, the home of Ohio Valley Wrestling since 2002. We'll also have a number of former OVW/WWE superstars that the fans of Kentuckiana have supported for years. Fans travelled to the last event from at least half a dozen states. We got great feedback from them that the intimate Davis Arena setup, with the VIP seats as close to the ring as the law allows, and every other row being on risers, is the best way to experience Ring of Honor live. We don't want anyone to be left out of this. The sightlines in the Arena are incredible, and the crowd excitement in July was off the charts." Specific names will be announced in the coming weeks, but Cornette notes "Besides all the stars on the card, recent ROH TV matches have included Tyler Black vs. Davey Richards, Christopher Daniels vs. Roderick Strong, and the Kings of Wrestling vs. The Briscoes, so we don't hold back on TV, and we want Louisville to be special so expect some great matches both nights." Tickets will go on sale Thursday, September 2nd at 11AM at rohwrestling.com or by calling (215) 781-2500. As with the July event, there will be a number of ticket options. The VIP Ringside seats, two rows inside the ringside barriers and "As close as the law will allow", are $50 each, and will entitle the holder to free waitress service to and from the concession stand all night. These are limited to 40 seats per night. The VIP Floor seats are front row only 6 feet from the ring, and are limited to 32 seats per night, for $40 each. The Champions's Table, 2 leather recliners with a table, on a riser less than 15 feet from the ring, comes complete with waittress service and all 2 can eat or drink from the concession stand all night, for only $150. Please note to purchase the Champion's Table, you must call the office directly at (215) 781-2500. All other seats are General Admission, and are only $15 each, or, for those wanting to attend both nights, ROH offers the "TWO NIGHTS ONLY TAG TEAM PACKAGE", one GA ticket to each nights' taping for only $25. "If you're a Ring of Honor fan anywhere in the Midwest or Southeast," Cornette said, "This is your Christmas present. We're gonna have two nights of action so hot, the ringsiders will need raincoats when the sweat starts flying. We invite everyone to join us for these landmark events in the company's history."
-- Tonight's edition of ROH on HDNet is the go home show for the September 11th Glory by Honor I-PPV. The show is preempted next week, due to labor Day programming.
-- While he will not be wrestling, Terry Funk will have a prominent role at the Glory by Honor I-PPV.
-- The events in Richmond and Charlotte that took place over the weekend were said to be solid outings for the company.
-- The September 10th event in Plymouth, MA will feature the following:
* ROH champion Tyler Black vs. Christopher Daniels
* First Blood Match: Steve Corino & Kevin Steen vs. The Necro Butcher & Shawn Daivari
