-- TMZ.com is reporting that former WrestleMania headliner Floyd Mayweather Jr. has been arrested today in Las Vegas following the domestic violence claims made by Josie Harris, the mother of Mayweather's kid, that the boxing champion had attacked her and threatened to kill her.

According to the Las Vegas Review-Journal, Mayweather was arrested for grand larceny related to the domestic incident, stating that Mayweather had allegedly taken some personal items from Harris' house. The Las Vegas Metro Police Department has also recommended that Mayweather be charged with domestic violence.

-- TNA and Spike TV apparently made a smart move preempting TNA iMPACT! last night. According to F4WOnline, the NFL season opener last night garnered a 17.7 rating and 28 share on the overnights, making it the highest rated opening game of the season in NFL history.

-- Jim Ross commented on Ross on Chad Ocho Cinco hosting WWE Raw on his blog, writing, "Emailer...how well will WWE utilize Ocho Cinco this Monday night on Raw from Cincy as the Guest Host? Wish I had a crystal ball and I would win some money this weekend on football but alas. It's always about creating the accepted balance between sports and entertainment with WWE. I like the sports side better while others likely don't."
