– The state of Connecticut's investigation into WWE's independent contractor classification is continuing, and is believed to be related to unemployment taxes.

– Several other WWE writers were let go last week in addition to Christopher "Big Dick Johnson" DeJoseph. It is said that an additional 2-4 writers were released because management was unhappy with the financial results of the last quarter and they want to bring in "fresh blood with new ideas."

– The announcers were kept in the dark as to the finish of the main event Sunday night, which helped lead to Matt Striker blowing the call at the end of the match and shouting "John Cena is Free!"
