-- Dutch Mantel announced the release of his latest book today: My new book, TALES FROM A DIRT ROAD, IS NOW AVAILABLE. Since many of you purchased and enjoyed my first one, I feel that this book is as good if not better than THE WORLD ACCORDING TO DUTCH. The book is just in time for Christmas. It is available on and CreateSpace on my website and also, for the collectors out there, we are offering a personalized autographed copy also. The book is 338 pages long and as usual, I wrote too much but this time, I told my editors, Mark and Ric, to leave it in. I took great pride in writing this book because its geared for 'real people' and 'real wrestling fans'. or email [email protected] If you're a fan of old school wrestling, I take you back to where the first book left off....right smack dab in the middle of an interesting conversation. From Ernie Ladd to Eddie Graham to Vince McMahon to Shawn Micheals to the Undertaker, I take you with me for 25 chapters through 5 countries and the trip isn't boring. While I was writing this book, I wrote it with 'the readers' in mind just like you were sitting right next to me as we talked like old friends. The book takes a humorous look at the wrestling business but also includes some very serious chapters. It is more than just a wrestling is a walk through the wrestling landscape of years ago and of today. I also give you my true feelings on a lot of topics including booking, a murder case, meeting the KKK, WWF, WCW, TNA, Wrestlemania, Undertaker, Stone Cold, Scott Hall, Vince Russo, fighting fans and creative meetings. Unlike a lot of wrestling books that are written by WWE 'ghost writers', I wrote every word in this book. And, I didn't write this book for myself. This book is geared toward real people and real wrestling fans and its about time that somebody did that. Hope you order and hope you enjoy it. Thank you...Dirty Dutch To read the blog or to find out how to order either off Amazon or an autographed copy.... click here

-- Regarding Eric Young's contract holdout with TNA Wrestling last month, he indicated to friends that he believed WWE would show interest in signing him and thus he held out for a better deal than the Nashville based organization initially offered. There was apparently no interest on WWE's part in Young's services and he re-signed with TNA Wrestling for less money than he was looking for. He was, however, granted freedom to accept independent bookings without company approval.

-- Kurt Angle will return on January 9th at TNA Genesis, facing Jeff Jarrett in an MMA exhibition match. The angle was shot at the final night of Impact tapings last night in Orlando. That airs on January 6th.
