Source: WWEWWE announced today on their Facebook and on their website that this year's Royal Rumble has been expanded to include 40 participants, the most ever.
The very first Royal Rumble on January 24, 1988, won by "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan, had only 20 participants. Since then the Rumble has always had 30 competitors.
UPDATE: WWE has confirmed that the wrestlers will enter every 90 seconds.
