According to an update to the story on TMZ.com, "Savage was driving his 2009 Jeep Wrangler when he veered across a concrete median through oncoming traffic and collided head-on with a tree."
The site reported that Savage was transported to Largo Medical Center, where he died from his injuries. His wife Lynn, with whom he shared his one-year wedding anniversary earlier this month, was also in the car with Savage but survived with minor injuries.
