MAY 31 ? NEW YORK ? The Urban Wrestling Federation, which delivers unprecedented entertainment by combining the worlds of hip hop music and professional wrestling, announced today that it has signed rap sensation 40 Glocc to join the UWF roster of talent that will appear at the UWF launch, "First Blood." UWF also announced today that its new web portal UrbanWrestlingFederation.com has gone live and will give fans behind the scenes and exclusive and access to the long list of artists and wrestlers that will be taking to the ring.
The debut battle is set to take place at New York's famed Hammerstein Ballroom at 311 West 34th Street in Manhattan on June 3rd.
40 Glocc made a name for himself on the West Coast when he was rapping with the "Zoo Crew" in Colton, California and with the release of his solo album "The Jakal" on the Empire Music Label.
Since then, 40 Glocc has remained at the forefront of the scene by touring with top-listed acts including G-Unit, Mobb Deep, Ray J, Snoop & Doggpound & many more. Later this year, 40 Glocc will release his next solo album, "Big Bad 40's New World Agenda," as well as additional hits with his group "Zoo Babies" on his label "ZooLife Ent." 40 Glocc also joined Infamous Records, under the G-Unit imprint.
40 Glocc will play an integral part in the Urban Wrestling Federation as he joins other hip-hop artists including Melle Mel, Red Caf?, Big Block, Uncle Murda, Brisco, Billy Blue, Gun Play and Cuban Link. These 'shot callers' have teamed up with the most hardcore "no joke" professional wrestling thugs like Homicide, Scorpio Sky, and Ricky Reyes to ensure that the 'fam' with the most credibility will be the ones to walk away with full UWF domination.
