Cena comes to the ring and says that Punk shouldn't be suspended for speaking his mind, even though he doesn't agree with him. He says that he wants to defend Punk at the PPV, and says he will confront Vince McMahon later in the show.
Kelly Kelly and Eve Torres defeat the Bellas in the opening match of the night.
R-Truth is on the phone trying to get his car insurance cut before cutting a promo saying that he shouldn't have to be in the triple threat match since he beat Cena last week. Alberto Del Rio interrupts and says it's his destiny to become WWE champion.
WWE Tag Team Champions Michael McGillicutty and David Otunga defeated Vladimir Kozlov and Santino Marella. Marella hit Otunga with the cobra, and McGillicutty capitalized by nailing Santino with neck breaker to get the win.
After the match, Zack Ryder came out on the stage and said 'Woo woo woo you know it' and left while Otunga and McGillicutty looked on, puzzled.
A video package on Tough Enough winner Andy Leavine aired.
Miz cut a promo backstage and said that the reason he wasn't in the number one contender's match was because of Alex Riley, and that Riley had become a nuisance.
Backstage Sgt. Slaughter is talking to Evan Bourne about how he wants to lead the crowd in the Pledge of Allegiance. Jack Swagger butts in and mocks Sarge's patriotism. Slaughter and Swagger then agree to a match tonight.
Jack Swagger defeated Sgt. Slaughter after nailing him with the Swagger Bomb. Swagger put Slaughter in the ankle lock after the match and Evan Bourne made the save. Slaughter proceeded to lead the crowd in the Pledge of Allegiance.
Alberto Del Rio defeated Rey Mysterio and R Truth after Del Rio forced Mysterio to tap to a cross arm breaker to become the new number one contender for the WWE Championship.
Vickie Guerrero and Dolph Ziggler are having a Fourth of July party in the ring. Dolph talks about how he is in his prime, and that the U.S. title is the only one that matters. Kofi interrupts and says that Dolph can't beat him without Vickie. They start to brawl and Kofi shoves Dolph into Vickie, who lands in the birthday cake.
The Miz hits the ring for his match with Alex Riley. A video package of Riley aired.
Alex Riley pinned The Miz with a backslide. Miz destroyed Riley after the match.
Vince comes to the ring and talks about how Punk wanted more money, fame, etc. and wasn't worth it. Cena came to the ring and said he wanted to face Punk. After some back-and-forth banter, Cena threatened to quit and McMahon caved in, re-instating Punk to face Cena at Money In The Bank. Vince finished by saying that if Cena didn't beat Punk, then he was fired.
