– NWA Championship Wrestling from Hollywood issued the following press release: NWA TV TAPING THIS SUNDAY IN HOLLYWOOD Hollywood, CA (August 9, 2011) ? NWA Championship Wrestling from Hollywood returns to the Regent Showcase Theatre on Sunday August 14th with a special 12:00PM bell time! Yes, yes, we know that SummerSlam is at the Staple Center later in the evening, that's why we're throwing a "tail gate" party of sorts and we're invited you! Not only will you see a fantastic afternoon of pro wrestling, but you'll get to enjoy it even more with FREE BEER*! "With SummerSlam in town, we hope that the people who are coming in and have been watching our program on the Internet will spend some time with us during the afternoon before the pay-per-view. The Showcase Theatre is maybe 20 minutes from Staples, so there will be time for fans to make both events," said Media and Event Coordinators Rod Dovlin. He continued with "we're also adding some new faces to the program this month including Former NWA Heritage Champion Oliver John, International Standout Shawn Spears and in his US television debut, El Hijo de LA Park." – The Dragon Gate Uprising PPV will be be their last PPV broadcast from traditional means because the company's contract with Producer G Funk Productions has expired and they have not renewed the deal. All their PPV's from now on will be internet-based providing the venue has all the necessary requirements. opted not to continue the deal.
– BxB Hulk will return to DGUSA on November 11th in Boston, November 12th in Philadelphia and November 13th in Manhattan at BB Kings.

– DGUSA announced the following: "Tag Team Discovery is coming to the Midwest. DGUSA is known for its stables and tag team wrestling. It has become the promotion where new stars make their reputations and elevate their careers. Now we are looking for an undiscovered tag team. There will be one match on each of the 9/9 in Indianapolis, 9/10 in Chicago and 9/11 in Milwaukee events to give a new team an opportunity to establish itself. The winning team of the match in Indianapolis will advance to Chicago and wrestle another undiscovered tag team. Then the winning team in Chicago will go to Milwaukee and be tested against a duo from Ronin. This means a new, undiscovered team could put themselves on the map in just one weekend."
