Dark Match - WWE United States Championship
Dolph Ziggler (c) defeated Alex Riley

"Yes sir, we promised you a great main event..."

Tool lead guitarist Adam Jones opened the show by playing the national anthem on his guitar.

The SummerSlam opening video airs focusing on the CM Punk - John Cena main event. Cue fireworks and we're off!

Booker T, Jerry Lawler and Michael Cole are announcing the show tonight, must be a late change.

The Miz's music hits and he heads to the ring. It's announced that he will be part of a six-man tag. Miz takes the mic and says he's back by popular demand. He thanks the fans for their insistence that he compete tonight, and is cut off by R-Truth.

Truth comes out with mic in tow and says not to thanks the fans. He says that spiders start with "S" as does "SummerSlam." He says "Cee-Lo Green" starts with "C" as does "conspiracy."

Alberto Del Rio's music hits and he comes out in a Ferrari.

Six-Man Tag Team Match
The Miz, R-Truth & Alberto Del Rio vs. Kofi Kingston, John Morrison and Rey Mysterio

Kofi and Miz start the match. Heels gain the advantage early with Morrison playing Ricky Morton. Hot tag to Kofi, who cleans house on Miz and hits the boom drop. He went for TIP, but missed. Miz tried to hit the SCF, but Kofi rolled out and hit SOS, but the count was broken up. Heels regained the advantage, and this time Kofi played Ricky Morton.

Mysterio finally made the hot tag and went for a double 619 on Truth and Miz. Miz moved out of the way and Kofi landed on him outside of the ring. Mysterio hit the 619 on Truth, followed by a splash to get the win for his team.

Kofi Kingston, John Morrison and Rey Mysterio defeated The Miz, R-Truth & Alberto Del Rio after Mysterio pinned Truth.

The announcers talk about Mysterio facing the Cena-Punk winner tomorrow on RAW.

John Laurinitis is backstage asking for a public apology from Punk for what happened on RAW. Punk mockingly asks for Laurinitis' forgiveness and smiles as Laurinitis walks off. Punk is then approached by Stephanie McMahon and wishes Punk luck. Punk finds that hard to believe, and Stephanie says Vince, HHH and John Cena all wish Punk luck. Stephanie extends her hand and Punk declines, saying he knows where that hand has been.

Sheamus vs. Mark Henry

Henry dominated the majority of the match. Henry kept Sheamus at bay with power moves early on.

Sheamus was able to power out of a backbreaker to gain control the match. He hit a shouldertackle from the top rope for a two count. He missed the Brogue Kick, but was able to hit it moments later, sending Henry out of the ring. Sheamus followed him out and tried to pick him up, but Henry got him in a slam and sent him through the ringside barrier to the shock of the fans nearby. The referee started the count and made it to ten, giving Henry the win. Slow match until the finish.

Mark Henry defeated Sheamus via count-out.

Josh Matthews interviewed Christian backstage and asked him about his big news. Christian said that he has an insurance policy and that Orton won't leave as WWE Champion.

Cee-Lo Green is introduced and he performs "Bright Lights, Bigger City," the theme of the show. He's wearing this black, glittery moo-moo. He then sings his hit, "Forget You" (PG version). The Bellas, Rosa Mendes and Alicia Fox decked out in red come out and dance with Cee-Lo. He gets a small pop when it's over.

A Slim Jim commercial airs. Just not the same without Macho Man.

7-11 promo with the Miz airs.

WWE Divas Championship Match
Kelly Kelly (c) w/ Eve vs. Beth Phoenix w/ Natalya

Kelly took the early advantage, using her speed to her advantage. Phoenix turned the tide with a big clothesline, and then followed up by pressing Kelly over her head and dropping her throat first on the top rope for a two-count.

Phoenix stayed in control until she got Kelly in a backbreaker and Kelly was able to power out. Phoenix regained the advantage and slammed Kelly into a corner. Phoenix charged, but Kelly moved and rolled her up for a two count.

Phoenix continued her assault. She then went for the glam-slam, but Kelly rolled her up and got the three count!

Kelly quickly grabbed her belt... er, title, and headed to the back.

Backstage, Stephanie McMahon is shown leaving John Cena's locker room.

R-Truth is shown complaining to Jimmy Hart. Hart suggested to Truth that he manage him. Truth said he'll think big, and not "little, Jimmy." He then flips out and asks Hart if he's little Jimmy. Hart eventually took off. Ron Artest was backstage and Truth asked him what he was looking at before taking off.

Twix commercial aired. Lots of commercials tonight.

Wade Barrett vs. Daniel Bryan

Bryan got a good amount of offense in early. At one point, he plowed Barrett in the corner with a drop kick for a two count. He then stretched Barrett out, and even hit a double leg Indian death lock and a kick for another two count.

Barrett turned the tide with a sidewalk slam for a two count. Later in the match he nailed Bryan with a boot to the head while Bryan was on the apron, sending him to the outside floor. Barrett brought him back in the ring for a two count.

Bryan turned the tide moments later, nailing Barrett with a dropkick while Barrett was on the apron, sending him to the arena floor. Barrett followed with with a flying knee to the face from the apron. Bryan got Barrett back in the ring and climbed to the top rope and hit a dropkick for a two count.

Bryan nailed Barrett with a series of stiff kicks to the chest, followed by a kick to the head for another two count. Bryan missed a charge in the corner and was nailed with a boot to the head. Barrett then went for Wasteland, but Bryan punched his way out and transitioned from a guillotine to the Lebell lock, but Barrett made the ropes. Bryan got Barret on the top rope and went to the top, but Barrett pushed him off crotch first on the top. Barrett followed up with a huge clothesline and then hit Wasteland to get the win. Strong match, hurt by the lack of crowd reaction.

Wade Barrett pinned Daniel Bryan.

The world heavyweight title match is next.

No Holds Barred Match for the World Heavyweight Championship
Christian (c) vs. Randy Orton

Christian takes the mic and says that he will keep his promise about having a big announcement, and introduces Edge, who will be in his corner tonight. Edge's music hits, and he comes out with shorter hair than the last time we saw him.

Edge enters the ring and takes the mic. He thanks the crowd for his ovation. He says that he will never be physically able to compete again, but that he was happy to pass the torch to Christian and he was proud of him for winning the championship. He then talked about how Christian kept complaining and kept getting rematches and finally won the title via DQ. Edge says he did some bad things in the ring, but he always did it with style and wasn't boring and didn't hide behind lawyers and suits. Edge says that somewhere along the line, he became a disgrace to himself and that he didn't know that his best friend would become a "whining, crying, moaning little b---h" and took off to the back while Christian screamed at him to come back. Randy Orton's music hits and he heads to the ring.

The match went into the stands early. Once they got back to the ring, Christian got a hold of a kendo stick and beat Orton with it. He missed a shot, which sent the stick out of the ring, but continued to dominate the match.

Christian grabbed the kendo stick again and came off the top rope, but was met with a dropkick in mid-air. Orton capitalized, nailing Christian with a powerslam before gaining control of the kendo stick, only for it to be knocked away moments later.

Later in the match, Orton introduces a table in the ring, and Christian sets up another one outside of the ring. Orton superplexed Christian on the table, which was flat on the mat, and got a two count. Orton then set the table up in the corner, which was already cracked, and went to throw Christian through it, but Christian was able to get out. Christian motioned for a spear but Orton dodged, and Christian threw him outside of the ring. Once outside, Orton threw Christian into the steps. Orton set the steps up on the ring apron, but Christian was the one who would use it, knocking Orton's head in the the steps.

Christian dragged Orton the the Spanish announce table and nailed him in the head with a monitor. Christian then put Orton on top of the table and picked him up, but Orton hit Christian with the RKO, breaking the table.

Back in the ring and Orton went for an RKO, but Christian reversed and hit the killswitch for a two count! Christian went outside the ring and grabbed two chairs, seemingly for a "con-chairto." Christian put a chair behind Orton's head and spit on him, and then went to nail him with the chair but Orton moved out of the ring. Orton grabbed the chair and nailed Christian on the back, and then with another shot that knocked Christian off of the ring apron through the table on the outside that was setup earlier in the match.

Orton threw the ring steps in the ring and then went under the ring and grabbed a bunch of weapons and threw them in the ring. Orton placed Christian's head on the steps and went to stomp on it, but Christian moved out of the way but ended up powerslammed through the table in the corner. Orton then grabbed the kendo stick and started to tee off on Christian's back. He followed up with a DDT on the trash can. Christian recovered and jumped on the ropes, but was met with an RKO on the steps! Orton covered and got the three count. Great match.

Randy Orton defeated Christian to become the NEW World Heavyweight Champion.

Backstage Stephanie is shown talking to Triple H, which ends in a quick smooch and Triple H walked off.

Jenny McCarthy is shown at ringside.

Undisputed WWE Championship Match
John Cena vs. CM Punk (with special guest referee Triple H)

Triple H's music hits and he comes to the ring, followed by Punk who got a decent pop, and then Cena who got mostly boos.

Triple H checks both men at the onset. Dueling "Let's Go Cena/CM Punk" chants, with the Punk chants being much louder. Chants are getting louder and much of the crowd is on their feet.

Some chain wrestling early, and the crowd starts a "you can't wrestle" chant directed at Cena. Punk gains control with a kick to the head, followed by a chinlock. Cena powers out with a gut wrench suplex, earning a two count. Cena locks in a chinlock of his own as the crowd chants "you can't wrestle" again. The crowd is electric for this match. Punk regains control with a kick to the head and lands some muay thai kicks to Cena's body. Punk then turns his focus to Cena's chest, landing a series of headbutts. Later in the match, crowd chants "You CAN wrestle" to Punk.

Later in the match, both men are outside of the ring. Triple H starts the count and gets to nine, and then decides to go out of the ring and throws both wrestlers back in the ring. They get to their feet at the same time and trade blows, with the crowd cheering Punk and booing Cena. Cena gets Punk up for an AA, but Punk got out and came off the ropes, only to be met with a picture perfect dropkick from Cena. Cena hits the five knuckle shuffle and goes for the AA again, but Punk rolls Cena up for a two count.

Cena later went to the top rope, but was met with a knee to the face and then a bulldog from the top, garnering Punk a two count. Punk dives off the ropes, but Cena side-stepped and locked in the STF in the middle of the ring. Punk slowly starts making his way to the ropes and eventually makes it, forcing Cena to break the hold. Cena goes for AA again, but Punk slips out and gets Cena up for the GTS but Cena slips out and nails an AA, but only gets two. Cena is frustrated and asks Triple H how it was a two count.

Cena then goes to the top, but misses the legdrop and Punk hits the GTS, but only gets two. Punk sells his left leg. Punk then climbs to the top rope and hits a flying elbow Randy Savage style, but Cena kicked out at two. A "Randy Savage" chant breaks out. Cena rolls Punk in a small package, but only gets two. Cena starts punching, but Punk regains control and hits another GTS, but Cena's foot is on the ropes. Triple H counts three and the bell rings, and Punk is announced as the new Undisputed WWE Champion.

CM Punk pinned John Cena to become the undisputed WWE Champion.

Cena yells at Triple H after the match that his foot was on the ropes as Punk celebrated outside of the ring. Cena left and Punk entered the ring. Triple H clapped and stuck his hand out. Punk didn't take it, and HHH raised Punk's hand and left the ring.

While Punk is celebrating, Kevin Nash ambushes Punk and nails him with a big clothesline and powerbomb. Nash leaves through the crowd. Triple H looks surprised and makes his way back to the ring.

Alberto Del Rio enters the ring and cashes the MITB. He kicks Punk in the back of the head and covers Punk for the three count.

Alberto Del Rio pinned CM Punk to win the WWE Championship.
