Show opens with a recap of the ending of last night's PPV. Triple H's music hits and he heads to the ring. Triple H apologizes to the WWE Universe and John Cena and said that he made a mistake because John Cena's foot was on the bottom rope when he made the three count, and he said he'll look Cena in the eye later tonight and apologize. He said that he had no problem raising the hand of the new champion, CM Punk. He said he had nothing to do with Kevin Nash, although admitted to being friends with Nash for many years and said that he simply hooked him up with tickets. He said he didn't know Nash would attack Punk, and he invited Nash to come tonight and he agreed as long as he can tell the truth.

HHH brings up Alberto Del Rio and says he didn't know anything about it, but that's how MITB works. He said that he promised there would only be one champ after SummerSlam, and here he is. Alberto Del Rio's music hits and he heads to the ring with the belt draped over his shoulder.

Del Rio said it wasn't his intention to cash in last night, but it was his destiny and he was born to be great. Del Rio says he wants to be their champion, and will sign autographs and take pictures with the kids, and he'll be the people's champion. He says he'll defend against Mysterio tonight and says that he loves Mysterio and beating him. He says he started his WWE career by beating Mysterio and he'll do it tonight. He says after tonight, he'll be everyone's hero and not Mysterio. On commentary, Jerry Lawler doubts that Triple H didn't know anything about Kevin Nash.

Backstage, HHH walks into Cena's dressing room as we head to commercial.

R-Truth comes out and he has his old music back again, without the lyrics. He'll be facing John Morrison in a falls count anywhere match. Jim Ross points out that Morrison needs a win since Truth has been on a roll and Morrison hasn't.

R-Truth vs. John Morrison

Really good match between these two that went all over the ringside area. Truth dominated most of the match. Interesting spot for the finish where Truth brought a chair. Morrison suplexed Truth onto a chair and then nailed him with a flying kick, and Morrison got the pin outside of the ring.

CM Punk is shown walking in the back as we head to break.

A recap of Mysterio winning the title at WrestleMania in 2006 is shown.

The Miz's music hits and he heads to the ring donning a suit. Miz is out and asks the fans to give it up for Jared from Subway, who's at ringside. Miz said that Jared is a fan of his, but Miz isn't a fan of Jared and says that he could be a better spokesperson for Subway. He heads to ringside and grabs a subway from Jared and plugs a sub. Man, the commercials within the shows are getting out of hand. Miz says he's responsible for the sub trending and says that he's a star and will be champion again because he's the Miz, etc. End of segment, basically an in-ring Subway commercial.

Backstage, Kevin Nash gets out of a limo.

Back from commercial and Trace Adkins is shown at ringside.

Kelly Kelly and Eve head to the ring.

Kelly Kelly and Eve vs. The Bella Twins

Even won the match for her team by hitting a moonsault on one of the Bellas. They celebrated after the match, and Beth Phoenix's music hit. The Divas of Doom came to the top of the stage dressed up and mock congratulated them.

Kevin Nash's segment is up next.

Back from commercial, and Nash is given a glowing intro by Justin Roberts. He comes out to no music and takes the mic. Nash thanks HHH for giving him a chance to explain his actions, and notes that he and HHH have been friends for 20 years and that HHH is the godfather of his son. Nash says he asked HHH if he could attend SummerSlam and HHH hooked him up with tix. He said before the main event he got a text and the text read "Big man, no matter what happens in the main event, stick the winner for me." Nash said that when a friend asks him to do something, he does it and says that what he did to Punk was business. Nash says that HHH is claiming that he knows nothing about it, and that they need to get on the same page. CM Punk's music hits and he heads to the ring.

Punk is up on the stage and says he doesn't believe Nash. Punk asked Nash if he would jump off a bridge if HHH asked him because "that would be good for business." He said that Nash has no idea what's good for business. Nash tells Punk to watch his mouth, and Punk says that Nash needs to watch the show because he does whatever he wants. Nash says his world just changed. Punk says Nash's story points out that HHH is a liar... either that or Nash is a liar. Nash asks Punk if he wants to see the text. Punk says he got a text from his sister, and it read, "OMG Kevin Nash WTF. I thought he was dead LOL." Punk said he's pissed at a lot of people, and Alberto Del Rio is not one of them since he himself cashed the MITB in a similar way. Nash calls Punk an "indy-riffic wannabe." Punk rips Nash for calling Eddie Guerrero a vanilla midget, and says it's not 1994 anymore. Nash noted that he changed the business in 1996, and Punk should thank him. Nash tells Punk that he looks like a short-order cook from waffle house and he should take a shower, hit the weights and get a clue. Punk rips Nash's past personas, and says that if Nash wants to fight, they can do it now. Security blocks Punk from getting to the ring. Punk said he's not surprised that HHH would defend Nash and says that he'll find out from the COO himself as the segment ends.

Mysterio winning the title at last year's Fatal 4-Way is shown.

Backstage, Nash is looking for HHH. John Laurinitis says HHH is in a meeting with Punk, and says he needs to talk to him about something in private and they leave.

Back from break and Vickie Guerrero and Dolph Ziggler are on commentary bickering as Alex Riley makes his way to the ring.

Alex Riley vs. Jack Swagger

The story of the match was Guerrero and Ziggler bickering on commentary. Ziggler did show a lot of personality on commentary, though. Late in the match, Guerrero took Ross' hat and wore it and wore it. She then got on the ring apron and put the hat on the referee, and the ref ordered her to get away. Swagger took advantage of the assist and went for the gut-wrench powerbomb. He had difficulty getting Riley up but ended up eventually hitting it. One of the weakest assists I've seen. After the match, Ziggler stomped on JR's hat and handed it back to him.

A recap of Mysterio winning the WWE title last month is shown.

SummerSlam Axxess recap airs.

Punk runs into Stephanie McMahon who says that she's sorry (in a mocking tone) and that in the end, people always get what they deserve.

Evan Bourne and Kofi Kingston vs. David Otunga and Michael Mcgillicutty

Jerry Lawler noted on commentary that Otunga and Mcgillicutty were bland. Bourne pinned Mcgillicutty to get the win for their team.

Backstage Mysterio is shown putting on his mask to get ready for his title match, which is next.

Alberto Del Rio vs. Rey Mysterio

Loud 619 chants to start. Del Rio beat Mysterio clean after Mysterio hit a 619 and went for the top rope splash, but Del Rio got his knees up and rolled Mysterio up to get the pin.

After the match, Del Rio continued to punish Mysterio and worked his arm over. Del Rio applied the cross arm-breaker and John Cena eventually made the save and Del Rio ran off. Cena took the mic and said that he has a bunch of reasons he could be pissed off like HHH, but he's pissed off at a scumbag like Del Rio for stealing the title after he and Punk had a war. Cena said Del Rio's not a champion, he's a target and that the belt makes every single person he knows his enemy. He said Punk earned the right to be called champ while Del Rio got lucky. Cena said if Del Rio defends against him, he won't be lucky and his destiny is John Cena whipping his ass. Del Rio left as the show went off the air.
