Former World Heavyweight champion Rey Mysterio was recently interviewed by 1130 AM-WDFN: The Fan and he discussed a number of topics. Topics included; his injuries, WrestleMania and possibly facing Sin Cara. Here are some of the highlights:

On his injuries and when fans can expect him back in the ring: "I actually suffered from an injury August of last year. It was an injury to my arm which just needed some time to heal but my knee was probably the worst with a tear in my ACL and my PCL. So, we had to go back in there and reconstruct that. Keep in mind that this is my sixth surgery on my knee, so they've taken some damage.

"Therapy is going very well right now. I'm trying to see if I can make it back by WrestleMania to please my fans [by making] that big event, which everyone is looking forward to checking out. So, that's my main goal right now; make it back for WrestleMania. If God gives me the will to come back, then I will be back."

On how massive WrestleMania 28 could be: "Yeah. It could be. With the return of The Rock and now The Undertaker vs. Triple H -- I mean, I was talking about this last night with my wife. WrestleMania has the big main event which is The Rock vs. John Cena which were all looking forward to seeing.

"Then, we have Undertaker and Triple H. Every time that you see a movie and it's good, you want to wait for part two. So, that's how I'm looking at this match right now. When I saw this match last year, I was like, 'Wow!'. So, I'm ready to see a part two."

On the possible match up between C.M. Punk and Chris Jericho: "That -- without a doubt in my mind -- is going to be remembered. Both have expectations and high qualities in the ring. So, there's really not much that can go wrong there. I mean, everything's going to go great there."

On possibly facing Sin Cara: "Yeah. Everybody wants to see that and I'm all for it. As soon as everything is ready to go, my knee is ready to go and I can step into the ring and move the way I know how to move, I'm down."
