We open with The Heartbreak Kid Shawn Michaels's music hitting, and the Showstopper comes out to a good pop. As Shawn makes his entrance, the announcers reiterate that Teddy Long is running the show tonight instead of Big Johnny. Shawn says he has to catch his breath because he's not used to doing entrances like that anymore. He says he caused a little trouble a few weeks ago, and it got a little heated between him and Triple H, but he desperately wanted him to take the match against Undertaker at WrestleMania. Shawn says that doesn't matter because Triple H changed his mind, and the match will now happen, and it will be Hell in a Cell. Shawn says he's hear to find out what made him change his mind, so he tells Triple H to come out. Triple H comes out wearing his usual suit to a good pop. Once Hunter is in the ring, Shawn says he pushed the envelope a few weeks ago, but Helmsley didn't buckle. Shawn says Triple H is a man of honor, integrity, and conviction, and Shawn even got away with calling him a coward, and Triple H still did nothing. Triple H doesn't look too happy as Shawn says that something made him change his mind, and he has to know what it is. Shawn says before he hears it from Triple H, he wants to see it, and asks the guys in the back to put it up on the Titantron.

We then go to the replay of the Triple H and Undertaker encounter from a couple of weeks ago where Triple H accepts the challenge after Undertaker said Shawn was better than Helmsley. After the footage, a "triple threat" chant can be heard a little, along with a "Shawn is better" chant. Shawn says all it took was someone saying he is better than Helmsley, but Helmsley says it has nothing to do with that, and he's just tired of listening to people like Undertaker talk behind Michaels's back saying he couldn't get the job done. Triple H says he believes that Michaels is the greatest in-ring performer of all time, and he hates looking at Shawn as a loser, that's why he's going to finish Undertaker. He says he's going to do it for him, and Michaels. Michaels sarcastically says thanks, and like always, Triple H has everything under control. He says he watched Triple H completely dominate Undertaker last year, but then he lost, and Shawn was right. This year, Shawn knows who's going to win, and he'll be right again. With this said, Shawn starts to leave, but stops and says the reason he knows that is because he's been made the special referee. With that said, Shawn leaves Triple H standing in the ring. Before we go to the break, Cole and King put over a Rock/Cena meeting tonight, and CM Punk and Sheamus vs Daniel Bryan and Chris Jericho.

We come back, and it's time for a WWE United States Championship match. Santino Marrela is out first. Vickie Guerrero comes out to introduce Jack Swagger. Dolph Ziggler is with the champ.

Santino Marella vs Jack Swagger (with Dolph Ziggler and Vickie Guerrero)

Swagger quickly grounds Marella as John Laurinaitis and David Otunga make their way out to the ring. Santino quickly takes control with a Hip Toss and Headbutt. He goes for the Cobra, but Otunga distracts the ref as Ziggler takes a shot at Marrela. Swagger hits a Gutwrench Powerbomb, but Santino somehow kicks out. Teddy Long then makes his way out with Kofi Kingston and Aksana. He confronts Laurinaitis as we go to break.

We come back to Swagger going for his Corner Splash on Marella, but Marella gets his knees up. Laurinaitis then distracts the ref, but Long pulls him down. They start arguing again, and Ziggler gets another shot in on Santino, then knocks Kingston off the apron, but he gets hit with The Cobra. Vickie then gets up, and Santino tries ot hit The Cobra on her. She gets down, but Aksana comes around, and pushes her down. They begin to argue as Santino goes for the Cobra on Swagger, but he reverses with the Ankle Lock. Long knocks down Laurinaitis, and Santino counters the Ankle Lock into a roll up for the win. The crowd goes nuts.

Winner and new WWE United States Champion: Santino Marella

Laurinaitis says Long can't do this because it's his show. Long interrupts him and says that it's his show tonight, and tells security to take Big Johnny away. He sends Laurinaitis and Otunga away, as Laurinaitis is yelling at him. Justin Roberts re announces Santino as the United States Champion. Santino celebrates with Teddy, Kofi and Aksana in the ring. Up next, we will have The Rock's History Lesson #1.

We then go to a clip from earlier today of The Rock at the Boston Harbor for a history lesson. He's via satellite, who would a thunk it? Rock says in 1773, the people of Boston had enough of the British because they were tired of them like they are of John Cena. Rock says tonight we start the Rock Revolution. He says in 1773, the people had the Boston Tea Party. He says we're going to have a party of our own, and the camera zooms out to a lot of John Cena merchandise. The Rock starts throwing stuff over the bridge, including the John Cena garden gnome, a John Cena alarm clock, John Cena wrist bands which make him look like a "transvestite Wonder Woman." He throws out some John Cena cologne, then says the revolution begins tonight, and Cena can take out all of this trash that he's been shoving down the peoples' throats for years and stick it straight up, well, you know. Rock says this will begin here, but end tonight in the ring where they meet face to face. We come back to the ring, and Alicia Fox is ready for her match. Kelly Kelly is on commentary, some great insight shall be heard. Eve then comes out, heel Eve is so hot.

Alicia Fox vs Eve

They lock up, and Eve hits a slow mo Shoulder Block, followed by a front flip, then some kind of throw by Alicia. Eve hits a nice leg sweep, followed by the greatest cover ever for the win.

Winner: Eve

Before Eve can celebrate, Zack Ryder's music hits and he gets a real good pop. Ryder says for her to not even bother because he's glad it's over. Broskis before Hoeskis. He does his woo, woo, woo phrase, and uses a cane to walk backstage. Eve looks on in disgust as a hoeski chant starts. Up next, pre-recorded comments from Cena before the show in the arena, minus the audience.

Back from the break, Eve catches up with Ryder, and says she has something to tell him. She gives him a long kiss, then walks off. Ryder looks like he's about to have a heart attack. King puts over Michaels being the referee, and they lead us into Cena's comments.

Cena is in the empty arena, and talks about WrestleMania. He says all eyes are on his match with Rock. Despite the personal differences, there's no doubt that Dwayne is the most successful superstar in WWE history. Cena says he doesn't intend to just be happy to be at WrestleMania, or even honored to be there with Rock. He wants to win. Cena says he grew up around here, and recently Boston is the city of champions, but for so many years it was the city of heartbreak. The most heartbreaking thing he can remember was the Patriots losing to the Giants a few years ago in the Super Bowl. He says no one remembers second place. He says if he doesn't win at WrestleMania, he's just another name, but if he can somehow win, he will go down in history in the WWE, but no one would remember second place, that's why 'Mania is so important. It's all or nothing. The promo ends with a close up of Cena's face. Up next, CM Punk and Sheamus face Chris Jericho and Daniel Bryan.

We come back to the WWE Champion, CM Punk coming out. Someone in the crowd has a sign that says "Colt of Personality." The 2012 Royal Rumble Winner, Sheamus then comes out. The World Heavyweight Champion, Daniel Bryan is out next, accompanied by his girlfriend, A.J. The lights then go out, and Jericho does his lite-bright jacket entrance.

CM Punk and Sheamus vs Daniel Bryan and Chris Jericho (with A.J.)

Jericho and Punk start things off with some great chain wrestling combos. Punk hits a couple of kicks to the gut, then takes down Jericho with a Shoulder Block, and then a Monkey Flip, followed by a couple of Arm Drags. Jericho quickly tags in Bryan whenever he saw the opening. No code of honor as these two ROH alumbs lock up. Punk tags in Sheamus, who hits some strikes to Bryan, who gets caught on the apron with Sheamus's repeated forearm clubs. Punk gets tagged in, and hits a Reverse Atomic Drop. He goes to the ropes, but Jericho catches him with a kick. Bryan then tags in Jericho as we go to commercials. You guys remember that "Colt of Personality" sign I told you about earlier. Trending on Twitter.

Back from the break, Jericho is in control of Punk. Punk starts fighting out, but gets caught with a Sidewalk Slam. Jericho then hits a few kicks to a downed Punk, but gets caught with a Leg Lariat from the WWE Champion. Sheamus gets the hot tag and takes down Jericho with some Polish Hammers, followed by a Powerslam, then a Shoulder Block to Bryan. Sheamus then hits the Irish Curse on Jericho for a two count. Sheamus tries to go up top, but Bryan distracts him long enough for Jericho to hit a Springboard kick. Bryan then hits a running Dropkick to Sheamus. Jericho gets out and rolls Sheamus into the ring, and stops him from tagging in Punk. Jericho hits some more kicks to Sheamus's head, then locks in a Sleeper Hold. Sheamus fights to his feet, and Jericho goes for Bulldog, but Sheamus awkwardly sends him into the turnbuckle. Both men tag out, and Punk hits a Springboard Forearm, followed by a Swinging Neckbreaker, then a knee in the corner. Punk then goes up top, holding his back, and delivers a Diving Elbow Drop. Punk sells his back pain as he covers Bryan for a two count. Bryan misses a Roundhouse Kick, and rolls up Bryan, but Jericho interrupts it. Bryan hits Punk with a sick Dropkick, but Sheamus comes in and goes for the Celtic Cross, only to be interrupted by Jericho. Sheamus and Bryan brawl outside the ring as Jericho rolls up Punk for the win inside the ring, even though Bryan was the legal man.

Winners: Chris Jericho and Daniel Bryan

After the match, Jericho celebrates with the WWE Championship. We go via satellite once more for Rock History Lesson #2. Rock is standing by a statue of Paul Revere, the guy that said "The British are coming!" He asks what if it was Cena, who he has a cut out off. Rock says they would have shot him on the spot and we'd be playing cricket now. He says the people then would be complaining about Cena now just like they are now. Rock says he would make a time machine just to kick Cena's ass back then. Great promo here, I can't even type all this. Rock then does his rendition of "Yankee Doodle" where he calls Cena a jabroni. This is great. Rock says he's coming to WrestleMania to whoop Cena's ass, but before that he's coming to the TD Gardens tonight to confront him.

Back from the break, Cole puts over John Laurinaitis running Smackdown this Friday, and we get a replay of Long pushing Big Johnny earlier tonight, and Santino getting the win and the United States Championship.

The Miz then comes out for his match tonight against The Big Show, who comes out next.

The Miz vs Big Show

We start with Miz rolling out of the ring, and Cody walking out on the ramp, telling them to hold on. Cody says he doesn't have a WrestleMania clip this time of Show losing, but one of him eating at the WWE restaurant at WrestleMania X8. Big Show is hanging out with fans at WWF New York here. Miz then comes in and attacks Big Show from behind. He goes for a Corner Clothesline, but Show hits a huge Spear on Miz, followed by the WMD for the three count.

Winner: The Miz

Big Show taunts in the ring, as Cody walks backstage, not very happy. The announcers plug a Cena/Rock confrontation later tonight. We go to commercials.

Back to the show, we go to another Rock History Lesson. He's standing outside the Massachusetts State House. He says this is where the Americans fought for their Independence. He says something else is going to be overthrown, something the people have been waiting 10 years for. The Rock will overthrow John Cena, and there's only one place that The Rock can come back and fight, and that's right here in the WWE. Rock says now that The Rock has taken Cena on a history lesson, he's going to make history. The Rock says he will beat John Cena at WrestleMania, but that's April 1st, tonight is the beginning of The Rock revolution. Rock says he's going to come face to face with John Cena, and he's going to tell the world exactly what he means. He does his If ya smell catchphrase as this promo ends. We go to commercial.

We come back, and Cole plugs Undertaker confronting Shawn Michaels on next week's Raw. R-Truth then comes out, and I guess you could say he's accompanied by Lil' Jimmy. We go to prerecorded comments from R-Truth. He says every time Kane comes out to the ring, there's fire. He then asks who the heck he's even talking to at the camera. The pyro goes off, and Kane then comes out, wearing his metal mask. We replay Kane's attack on Orton last Friday on Smackdown.

R-Truth vs Kane

We start with Kane charging Truth, who catches him in the corner, but gets pushed down a few times with ease. Kane then hits a Big Boot to keep Truth down. Kane works over Truth in the corner now with some knees and punches. Kane hits a Snapmare, then a Leg Drop for a two count. Kane sends him into the corner and hits a a Clothesline, but tries it again and gets caught. Truth hits a great Leg Lariat, but Knae doesn't even fall. Truth goes for the Axe Kick, but Kane catches him and hits the Chokeslam for the win.

Winner: Kane

After the match, Kane does his taunt, but Randy Orton's music hits, and he walks down the ramp. Truth distracts Kane, allowing Orton to come in and hit an RKO on the Big Red Monster. Orton gets a mic and says it's good to be back. Backstage, we see Cena walking towards the arena. We'll hear from him next.

Back from the break, John Cena comes out to a mixed reaction, with more boos than cheers. A lot more boos. Cena says he thought the fans would be excited, they boo more. Cena says this place is back because finally The Rock is back, the real Rock, and he's been giving history lessons all day. He says they were entertaining, electrifying, everything The Rock needs to be. Cena says behind the sunglasses and the head whips, what is Rocky really saying? Cena said last week he told Rock what his problem was and what he was going to do. He asks what Rock is saying about him, and the crowd chants Fruity Pebble. Cena says all the nonsense Rock has been talking about, including his penis, breakfast cereals, and all the girls he's had sex wish. Cena says on top of all this, did anyone see last week for the first time, Rock was shook up. Cena says Rock wasted 20 minutes on plugging Twitter, then Cena came out, and Rock couldn't even complete a sentence. Cena said it may be unbelievable, but The Rock got shook up by Cena. Cena says he looks ridiculous tonight, but The Rock was shook up by him. Cena says that tonight it seems like The Rock has his Swagger back. Cena's getting some cheers as he puts over Boston College. Cena says it's a bad idea for Rock to come out here because his best stuff has been prerecorded or via satellite, but Cena says he wants to know who he's going to get at 'Mania. Cena says he wants The Rock to come out here, not Dwayne Johnson. Cena says he needs The Rock because he doesn't want to beat Dwayne, he wants to beat the best. Cena asks if Boston would like to see The Rock, and leaves it open for him to come out. The Rock doesn't disappoint, and quickly makes his way to the ring.

The crowd chants for Rock as he says in third person that he has finally come back to Boston. Rock said he was going to tell the world what he saw of Cena tonight. He says he sees fear, fear that Rock is taking everything away. I believe I just heard some pro Cena chants. Rock continues and says he sees and hears the fear in Cena. Rock says he's never been more confident, but then the crowd starts chanting "Tooth Fairy." They're turning. Rock says if you strip away, hollywood, the movies, the fame, the catchphrases, at the core, The Rock will rip Cena's throat out. At Cena's core, he will always be a little boy who will go down in history as The Rock's b—h. The Rock leaves back up the ramp after that, leaving Cena in the ring. Cena says Rock doesn't intimidate him. Cena then reads notes off his wrist to make fun of Rock, and Cena says at WrestleMania, he will lose everything if Rock beats him, but he is not afraid of The Rock. Cena says Rock only gets things half right. Cena isn't Rock's b—h, he's the son of a b—h that's gonna' make history by whipping The Rock's ass. The crowd cheers Cena more than he has been cheered in years. Cena then jumps into the crowd and hugs some fans as they celebrate with him. He drinks some chick's beer and everything before going back into the ring and celebrating. Not a boo is heard as we close the show with Cena hugging his dad and kissing a girl who I assume is his wife, if not, that would be weird.
