WWE Live Event Results From Toronto (3/10) - Miz Vs. R-Truth, Punk, Cena

Thanks to WrestlingINC.com reader Steven White for sending in this report from last night's WWE live event in Toronto, Ontario:

The night starts off with Santino Marella Vs. Jack Swagger. Santino gets a huge pop, one of the biggest of the night. He promotes his new US title and heads to the ring. Swagger heads out and surprisingly gets more heat then I thought he would get. The match starts off with some comedy and then some back and forth action. Swagger gains control of the match. Targets Santino's right leg to set up his ankle lock. He then continues to bash Santino into the turn buckle, Santino doesn't like this and turns into the incredible hulk. Does his own four moves of doom (duck, duck, hiptoss, diving headbutt) and then pulls out the cobra and strikes Swagger for the victory.

Winner: Santino

Second match is a squash match between JTG and Ryback. There was no reaction to both of them because basically everyone doesn't know who either of them are. JTG gets demolished. The only move that JTG landed on Ryback was a facebuster from the top rope. Ryback used a lot of power moves and slams. After about ten minutes of dominating Ryback finishes JTG off with a Silverback Attack. There were some Goldberg chants for Ryback which I found funny.

Winner: Ryback

The third match is a divas match. First Eve comes out. Gets some heat, but the guys were cheering because she was smoking and did some nice poses. Kelly Kelly comes out to a decent pop, but nothing special. They start the match and "Hoeski" chants start. Eve gets upset and starts bashing the crowd. Kelly Kelly then laughs and poses. They stand off for a bit then finally get into the action. They go back and forth. Surprisingly the most aggressive match of the night so far. The switch between the outside and ring frequently. They get back into the ring and Kelly Kelly hits her Kelly Killer and stinkface. They back out of the corner and Kelly Kelly does her attempt at a Hurricanrana and Eve goes flying into the corner. When Kelly Kelly goes to Eve for the pin, Eve grabs her legs and slams her into the mat, pining her using the corner ropes for leverage.

Chris Jericho cuts a promo saying that Toronto is the worst Canadian city.

The Miz comes out and talks on the mic and gets pretty good heat. He then argues with a guy in the front row because the guy was giving him the finger. R-Truth's music hits and he comes out singing his "What's Up" song. The crowd was really into it and went along. R-Truth then began to talk trash about The Miz. The crowd is behind R-Truth. The match starts and the Miz keeps falling and running away. He then goes out the ring runs around and then tries to sucker punch R-Truth, but misses. R-Truth then gets control of the match. He hits the Miz with a Corkscrew Flying elbow and goes for the count. The Miz kicks out and gets control. The Miz is getting some cheers, and he looks at the people who are chanting like they were stupid. He continues to beat on R-Truth then sets up for the skull crushing finale, R-Truth sees this coming and uses his "little jimmy" or what ever he calls it now to get the win.

Winner: R Truth

Chris Jericho comes out a lot of heat because of what he said in his promo earlier. He then grabs the mic and continues to bash the crowd. He then says that he sees a lot of CM Punk shirts and says that we should take it off because the back of the shirt is a lie. Kofi Kingston comes out to a pop. The match starts and it is a very boring ten minutes. The crowd was very dead. The match then picks up and the crowd gets into it. Jericho had the upper hand most of the match, but then Kofi uses his comeback moves (as it says in WWE '12) to gain the momentum. Kofi hits Chris Jericho with a Trouble in Paradise, but kicks out at two and a half. Kofi then goes for the second Trouble in Paradise but Jericho reverses it into a Walls of Jericho. Kofi makes it to the ropes. Jericho then pokes the eye of Kofi and uses the codebreaker for the victory.

Winner: Chris Jericho

John Cena cut a promo, but you could not really hear what he said because the crowd was too loud with little kids screaming and people who don't wet their beds booing. He said something about Kane.

Next match is a tag team champions match. Mason Ryan and Alex Riley come out. Not much of a reaction, but I can say Mason Ryan is one big guy. Epico and Primo come out with little reaction as well. Rosa Mendes is the best part of the match so far. The finish of the match sae Riley come in to clothesline Epico over the top rope, but Epico pulls the ropes down and Riley flies over. Ryan throws Epico over the ropes but then gets caught with a backstabber for the count. Is it me, or is that how they win every single time?

Winner: Epico and Primo.

Cena's music hits to start the "Last Man Standing" match and he gets a mixed reaction, probably 60/40 boos to cheers. Kane comes out with a mixed reaction as well. Throughout the match, the "Let's Go Cena / Cena Sucks" chant goes on. The finish saw Kane set up a table in the middle of the ring, but Cena uses it by putting Kane through it with a Attitude Adjustment to get the 10 count and win the match.

Winner: John Cena

The main event has finally arrived. CM Punk vs. Dolph Ziggler in a two out of three falls match. CM Punk comes out to a huge pop, easily the biggest of the night. They get off on a slow start and CM punk gets an early fall with a roll up. Punk and Ziggler go back and forth with some excellent wrestling. Chris Jericho comes out and distracts CM Punk, which allows Ziggler to hit Punk with a Zig-Zag to tie it up at one apiece. Jericho then gets ejected by the ref and the crowd goes crazy. They then continue with some excellent wrestling. Easily the best wrestling match of the night. They both get to hit their signatures on each other. Punk lands a nice round house kick, high knee to the bulldog, and the diving elbow while Ziggler lands some nice drop kicks and leg drop bulldogs. Ziggler gets Punk in the sleeper, but Punk powers out but knocks over the ref as he's getting up. Jericho comes back out and hits the code breaker on Punk. Ziggler covers Punk but Punk kicks out at two and a half. They wrestling for about a minute more before Punk nailed Ziggler with the GTS for the victory.
