-- Vendetta Pro Wrestling presented Shamrock Slam in Santa Maria, CA last Saturday night. It was announced on the card that Luxury, who last the VPW Tri-Force title at the event, would face Bobby Lashley on Friday, May 11th for Melee 2012. Also on Saturday's card, former WWE Superstar Chris Masters defeated "The Rock of Love" Billy Blade via disqualification, while Sunami retained the VPW Heavyweight Championship by defeating Gangrel. The victory was short-lived, as Shannon Ballard defeated Sunami to win the title in a bonus match after interference from Shannon's twin brother, Shane. For full results of the event, click here.

-- Tennessee Congressman Steve Cohen and Memphis Mayor A.C. Wharton have both declared March 24 National Sputnik Monroe Day, with proclamations listing Monroe's achievements in wrestling and, more importantly, in civil rights. Sputnik Monroe is known as a civil rights pioneer, integrating the wrestling crowds at Memphis' Ellis Auditorium in the early 1960s. -- PowerStar Wrestling presents their debut event, Homecoming, on Friday, April 27th at Colonial Elementary School in Plymouth Meeting, PA.
