Indy Promotion Threatened With Lawsuit, Mosh Talks 'Mania, Corgan, Poffo

Bloomberg Businessweek Magazine has an article about Billy Corgan and his promotion, Resistance Pro Wrestling. In the article, Corgan talked about what attracted him to wrestling, saying, "I was attracted to wrestling as a child because there was something larger than life about it... which was also what attracted me to rock 'n' roll." – MEXPW (MEX PW/Mexican Pro Wrestling) told us today that XPW plans to file a lawsuit against the company for trademark infringement if they do not stop using their name immediately.

The Miami Herald has an interview with former WWE tag team champion Mosh of the Headbangers, who talked about competing at his first WrestleMania, WrestleMania 13 in 1997. "It was all so surreal for us," Mosh revealed. "We were there for only six months. We were actually still only part-time at the time. We didn't have full-time contracts, yet. So for us it was still so surreal. Any time I walked out there, and I saw World Wrestling Federation on the side of the ring apron, it was a surreal feeling. – HPW (Hannibal Pro Wrestling), which was was founded by Lanny Poffo and Devon "Hannibal" Nicholson, will be holding their first event on May 5th in Smiths Falls, Ontario at the Smiths Falls Community Memorial Centre. The event will be filmed by the CogecoTV Network. Scott Steiner vs. Canadian Champion Jeremy Prophet will headline the card.
