More On Brock Lesnar's WWE Return, Jim Ross Comments (Updated)
Lesnar originally debuted with the company 10 years ago on the March 18, 2002 episode of RAW the night after WrestleMania X8. He spent two years for the organization before calling it quits, and made his last in-ring appearance at WrestleMania XX on March 14, 2004. "The Next Big Thing" lost a featured match to Goldberg at the event, in what was also Goldberg's final WWE match. After the match, both Goldberg and Lesnar were given a Stone Cold Stunner by special referee Steve Austin as a parting gift.
As noted over the weekend, The Wrestling Observer reported that Lesnar had signed a one-year deal with WWE, where he performed for two years before eventually leaving for the NFL and MMA. Lesnar left his MMA career behind following his first-round loss to Alistair Overeem at UFC 141 this past December.
Jim Ross commented on Lesnar's return tonight, writing on his Twitter, "Why's Brock Lesnar back? I'd suggest 2 earn BIG money. He's done w/ UFC & still young. He's a complex, supreme athlete. Interesting times."
