A.W. Signs His First Clients, WWE Returns To KY, Royal Rumble & Extreme Rules PPV Buys

- WWE returns to the East Kentucky Expo Center in Pikeville, Kentucky on July 29th, 2012. Tickets go on sale June 2nd, 2012.

- As noted earlier, PPV buys for both The Royal Rumble and Elimination Chamber were down from last year's numbers. This year's Royal Rumble garnered 443,000 buys, down slightly from 446,000 buys in 2011. The decline for Elimination Chamber was more notable as this year's installment did 178,000, compared to 199,000 buys last year.

Overall, PPV revenues revenues stayed even in both the current and prior year quarter as the decline in buys was offset by an increase in the average revenue per buy, which was attributable to higher retail prices charged for viewing events in HD.
