A vignette runs recapping the AJ/Dixie situation and the Bully Ray/Joseph Park issue.

We cut to Hogan in his office with Jeff Hardy, Bully Ray, AJ Styles, and Kurt Angle. Hogan lets them look at the script for the evening. Hogan says if Roode wins tonight be becomes the longest reigning champion and the greatest champion ever. Kurt asks what the importance of that. AJ asks what the importance of a gold medal is. Hogan says the normal format doesn't work anymore. The men have to convince Hogan why they should face Roode. This is very good and realistic. Bully Ray is fantastic. He puts himself over as the one. Angle says to try to intimidate him.

AJ says he wants to end his streak, he wants it for himself. Kurt says he beat AJ. Hardy says to let the fans decide. Angle asks what Hogan wants. Hogan says Roode has some upsides and has gotten them to this point but he has to be stopped. Hogan says everyone in the room can beat him. He says since he hasn't won the big one yet and only been a singles wrestler a year, he eliminates Bully.

Bully asks Hogan if he made the right decision and leaves.

Mike Tenay welcomes us to Open Fight Night. Gail Kim comes to the ring. She says it's great to be her. The locker room watches from the back. Gail Kim says she is the Knockouts Division and the most important woman in the company. She says she's upset that the Knockouts Tag Titles are represented by a man and a woman.

She says along with Madison Rayne, who just appeared in the ring, will challenge for the straps. ODB and Eric Young make their way from the locker room to the ring.

ODB & Eric Young vs. Gail Kim & Madison Rayne

Young starts off with Gail. Young reverses an armbar on Gail and applies a headlock. They go back and forth with standing switches. ODB tags in with forearms and a fall-away slam.

Gail covers ODB and gets 2. Madison stomps ODB in the ring and gets 2. The crowd chants for ODB. Madison and Gail double team but ODB hits a spear on Gail and tags Young. Madison comes in too and Young pulls some shenanigans and takes his pants off. He slams both women and ODB yells at him to put his pants on. ODB tags in and hits a running powerslam on Gail. Gail gets picked up again by ODB but Madison grabs ODB's foot from the outside causing Gail to fall on top of her for the win.

Hogan is on the phone with someone. He says asks if he's still coming and that it's been too long. He gets off and says "holy shiz."

RVD makes his way to the ring. He says he has unfinished business with Gunner and calls him out. Gunner walks out from the locker room area.

RVD vs. Gunner

RVD dropkicks Gunner on the apron before he could even get in the ring. Gunner gains control and throws a chair in the ring. RVD fights back with strikes to the face and Rolling Thunder. Gunner regains control and gets 2. Gunner drops elbows to the head as RVD tries to make it to a vertical base. RVD catches Gunner rushing into the corner. Gunner grabs the chair but RVD kicks it into his face. RVD hits a sick 5-Star from all the way across the ring for the win.

Devon gets in the ring as we return. He says Hogan gave him the opportunity to defend his title every week. He says Garett Bischoff eliminated him from battle royal last week and wants to see if lady luck is still on his side.

TNA Television Championship:
Devon (c) vs. Garett Bischoff

They shake hands and show respect to each other. Devon takes Garett down as the crown chants for him. They reset and lock up again, going back and forth. Garett hits a swinging neckbreaker. The crowd wants tables. Robbie E. and Robbie T. come in and attack both men from behind. The bell sounds. Devon and Garett fight back and decimate the Robbie's. Devon and Garett embrace.

Double Disqualification/No-Contest

Back in Hogan's office, he sizes up the remaining men. Angle says if he wants the most popular guy then pick Hardy. Angle says if he wants the guy that will get the job done then pick him. Hogan eliminates Hardy and says he's too shaky and his victories have been too close. Hogan says he needs to do the rest in the ring.

-Video Package of Abyss-Joseph Park and Bully Ray story

Bully Ray comes to the ring. He intimidates some fans at ringside. He says because of Hogan he's p*ssed off. He said on top of everything he heard Joseph Park was in the audience. He finds him and orders him in the ring. Park awkwardly grabs a mic, enters the ring and says he's never been in a real fight and begs Bully for space.

Park says he's represented many men and he can look in a man's eyes and tell if he's guilty. The crowd chants "guilty." Park says Bully has the right to a trial in front of his peers, the fans. He asks who thinks Bully is guilty and it's unanimous. Bully attacks Park with the chain. Bully has a distant cold look on his face and hits him again while on the mat. Bully says "not guilty" and leaves.

Park is red faced and coughing in the ring.

-Joey Ryan video talking about Gut Check

Jeremy Borash is in the ring with Al Snow and Joey Ryan who is donning a blue scarf and white shades with his trunks. His opponent is?Austin Aries.

TNA Gut Check:
Austin Aries vs. Joey Ryan

Ryan takes Aries down quick and lounges and shows off on the ropes. Aries applauds. Ryan looks like a Tom Selleck pedophile look-a-like. Aries takes him down twice and lounges on the ropes too. Aries slaps Ryan around and Ryan escapes to the outside. Aries doesn't give him a chance to breathe. Ryan catches him off the top and gets 1.

Ryan sends him in and hits a nice dropkick and another pin attempt. Aries hits a Tornado Punch and goes for a punt but Ryan escapes. Ryan gets a dropkick but recovers with a modified suplex. He goes up top but Aries scouts it and Ryan rolls right to his feet. Aries hits his running dropkick and the brainbuster for the win.

-Slammiversary highlights: Hogan face turn

Roode is introduced. AJ's music hits followed by Angle and Hogan. Hogan says he can't make a wrong decision at this point but his gut says AJ knows Roode better than anybody and he gets it.

TNA World Heavyweight Championship:
Bobby Roode (c) vs. AJ Styles

They start off with speed and intensity but Roode goes out to regroup. Roode wants a test of strength but ends up just kicking AJ. AJ hits a beautiful dropkick, Roode falls to the outside.

Roode takes control of AJ. AJ kicks out. Roode works the left arm. AJ tries to fight back but is cut off. AJ launches him out of the ring and leaps after him. AJ seems distracted and is hip tossed onto the steel steps. Hogan is informed that his guest has arrived.

Roode is in control in the ring. He pulls back on AJ from a reverse chin lock. Roode charges in and gets a shoulderblock. AJ springboards with a flying forearm and gets 2. Roode drives his spine into the corner and puts him on the top. Roode goes for a superplex but AJ throws him off and hits a missile dropkick and gets 2. They counter each other several times in a nice exchange, ending with a spear from Roode. He gets 2.

Roode applies a crossface but AJ gets out. AJ applies a chinlock into a bridge but Roode makes the ropes. AJ stomps Roode then goes for a powerbomb or something but Roode reverses into a spinebuster. Roode hits a fisherman suplex into a bridge for a 2. Roode goes for another one but AJ catches him with a Pele Kick. Both men struggle to get up. AJ looks over his shoulder and goes for a 450 springboard off the apron but Roode gets his knees up. Roode hits another bridging suplex for the win.

Winner by pin and STILL TNA World Heavyweight Champion: Bobby Roode

Kazarian and Daniels look on in disbelief from the stage.

Roode grabs a mic and says he did it. He is the longest reigning champion in history. He calls for his champagne. He tells Hogan to come out and celebrate with him.

Roode is still in the ring drinking champagne. Roode calls for his confetti and it begins to fall from the rafters. He rolls in it. Hogan's music hits. He comes out applauding. Roode makes confetti angels in the ring. Hogan says he's impressed because he had the deck stacked against Roode. Hogan takes a drink with him.

Hogan says he's earned his respect but the hard work has just begun. Hogan says someone else would like to celebrate with him?the lights go out. It's Sting! The lights come on and Sting takes it to Roode then kisses Hogan. Hogan says its show time. Roode is on his butt on the ramp. Hogan tells him not to leave. He says next week Impact is live at 8pm and right at the top of the hour Roode will face Sting in a lumberjack match. Roode is beside himself.
