TNA Impact Results: Sting Returns, Brooke Debuts, Dixie Panics - Sound Off

We begin with a video recapping the title situation from last week. We get very little pyro and we are live from Orlando. Lumberjacks are surrounding the ring. Mike Tenay says Sting returns tonight?

Christy Hemme announces Roode to the ring.

Sting's music hits and he comes to the ring.

Bobby Roode vs. Sting

Roode attacks and is cut off. Roode rakes the eyes and hits chops but Sting no-sells. Sting hits a clothesline and goes for the Scorpion Deathlock but Roode counters. Roode is kicked to the outside and is quickly brought back in by the lumberjacks twice. Sting misses a Stinger Splash. The heel lumberjacks take it to Sting on the apron.

Sting gets tossed out and the lumberjacks attack as the faces come to the rescue. Back in the ring, Roode gets 2. Roode rams Sting in the corner and drops a knee for 2. Roode applies a waistlock in the middle of the ring. Sting works his way up and out and hits reverse elbows. Sting whips him in but gets a big boot for his troubles. Roode puts the boots to Sting. Roode throws him out and Sting fights back as they attack him.

Roode hits a suplex and gets 2. Tenay says Roode has been all over Sting during the break. Sting fights out of the corner and hits a Splash. Roode escapes to the outside on the heel side and Sting flies over the top onto them. Sting brings him back in as a "TNA" chant breaks out. Sting almost gets the Deathlock applied but Roode counters into a crossface. Sting reaches the ropes and the move is broken. Roode goes for another suplex but Sting counters into a Deathdrop. He finally gets the Deathlock applied in and Roode taps in seconds.

Winner by submission: Sting

Hogan's music hits and he comes out applauding Sting on the stage.

Hogan says Sting is Impact's #1 man. He says the main event at Slammiversary is Sting vs. Roode for the title. Roode clutches his title and rolls out of the ring.

The crowd chants 'You tapped out' loudly as Tenay and Taz rundown tonight's lineup.

Madison Rayne is in the mirror talking about Brooke Hogan. She says they are both winners and will get along.

Bully Ray is in the ring and asks if we know who he is. He is looking for Joseph Park. He points him out in the crowd. He asks if he forgot what he did to him last week. Bully threatens the guy in the truck to run the footage. Bully wants to fight right now and tells Park to get in the ring. Park is reluctant but makes his way to the ring. Park says he doesn't want to fight. Bully calls him a coward. He calls his mother, father, and Abyss cowards.

Park tries to rush the ring but security stops him. Bully tells them to let him go. Park awkwardly gets in the ring and tries to talk it out off mic. Bully says he wants to change his plea to guilty. He says he left Abyss for dead. Park grabs him by this collar as Bully begs off on his knees. Bully says if he hits him he will sue. Park backs off and says he has class and will not stoop to Bully's level. Bully says he's a coward and leaves the ring.

Park picks up the mic and says he wants to fight and takes off his suit jacket. Bully says they'll fight at Slammiversary.

The X-Division title is on the line, next.

Crimson is backstage and says he "can't be beat."

X-Division Championship:
Austin Aries (c) vs. Chris Sabin

Aries is shown backstage talking to D-Lo Brown as Samoa Joe walks behind him. Aries gets some water on Joe as he is spraying himself down.

They lock up and trade holds. Aries hits a beautiful armdrag. Sabin hits a forearm in the corner. Aries hits a front dropkick and gets 2. Aries hits a Rolling Thunder from the apron and over the top followed by an elbow for another 2. Sabin hits big boot and a crucifix into a pin but it's no good. Aries knocks him out of the ring and hits a suicide dive on the outside.

Back in the ring, Aries hits a missile dropkick. Sabin hits his own baseball slide dropkick and leaps off the top to the outside onto Aries. Sabin hits a Randy Orton style suplex in the ropes and gets 2. Sabin counters a brainbuster attempt and goes for a fireman's carry into an F5 but Aries rolls through and pins him.

Winner by pin and STILL TNA X-Division Champion: Austin Aries

Hogan is backstage talking to Taz from earlier in the day. They talk about Gut Check. Taz thanks him for being a part of it and says they will get the real Taz.

Taz is welcomed (yesterday) by Prichard and Snow and they talk about Joey Ryan. They talk about his "70's porn star" look. They think he did a good job but didn't blow them away.

Brooke Hogan is up next.

Jeremy Borash is backstage with the 4 possible opponents for Devon's title: Robbie E., Mr. Anderson, RVD, and Jeff Hardy. Fans can vote to choose the winner.

Dixie Carter makes her way to the ring. She says in 10 days TNA will be 10 years old. She thanks all the performers and fans. The 1st TNA Hall of Fame inductee will be announced at Slammiversary. She wants to take the Knockouts division to another level. She introduces the new executive in charge of the Knockouts Division: Brooke Hogan.

Brooke comes out in a black mini-dress. Dixie welcomes her. Brooke thanks everybody. We get some "Hogan" chants and some "boo's." Brooke says she knows she has some big yellow boots to fill and she says she will work her butt off.

Kazarian and Daniels are watching backstage and are surprised that Dixie didn't address the AJ situation. They say the show is live and nobody can stop them.

TNA Television Championship:

Devon (c) vs. ?

Devon is introduced and comes to the ring. We cut to Borash and the contenders backstage and he says that the winner with over 40% of the votes is?Jeff Hardy.

They shake hands and here we go. They trade armbars and Devon hits a shoulderblock for 2. They stop to regroup. Hardy is hit with a hard clothesline and a powerslam. Hardy hits a mule kick. Hardy hits a Whisper in the Wind for 2. Devon hits a neckbreaker out of the corner and gets 2. Devon continues to work the neck. Hardy works his way up and hits a Twist of Fate. Hardy goes up top but is pushed off by Robbie E. Robbie T. is with him and they take it to Hardy. Devon takes them out. Devon gets on all 4's and assists Hardy for a dropkick on Robbie T. Hardy and Devon stand triumphant in the ring and hug.

Winner by disqualification: Jeff Hardy

James Storm is shown on his farm with his daughter. He says is doesn't get any better than this. He is still mulling over his loss to Roode. His daughter asks if he's going back to wrestle. Storm asks for the cameras to be cut off.

Borash is in the ring with Taz, Prichard, and Snow. Borash introduces Joey Ryan. He comes to the ring and lounges on the ropes with his legs wide open. He says he is a big deal and is trending on Twitter. Prichard says he is talented but after his being in the business for 12 years, his answer is "no." Snow says he doesn't like him or his attitude. He says it's about potential though, and his answer is "yes." Borash gives him one more chance to cut a promo.

He says 80% of the fans voted for him and he questions Prichard's contract. He tells Taz he is money and tells him not to leave money on the table. Taz says his promo didn't impress him. Ryan gets in his face and says he's just a commentator, not a suplex machine. Taz says what he has forgotten about wrestling Ryan hasn't even learned. He says an emphatic "no!" Borash gets in between them. Ryan and Taz continue to argue. Taz tells him to prove him wrong.

Bobby addresses fans in London in front of Big Ben from May 25th. He says he's the It-Factor.

-Slammiversary card rundown

Christopher Daniels vs. AJ Styles

Daniels slaps AJ off of a tie-up. AJ chases him around the ring. AJ hits a dropkick right to the face of Daniels. Daniels connects with a right hand to the chin. AJ gets dropped across the rope by the neck and then gets knocked out of the ring into the guardrail.

Daniels is in control in the ring. Daniels hits a bodyslam and a moonsault splash off the ropes for 2. AJ turns things around in the corner with chops. Daniels bumps around for AJ. AJ puts him in a torture rack into a slam for 2. Daniels rams AJ into the corner. AJ springs off the rope with a forearm. They go back and forth. AJ hits a pele.

AJ goes for a Styles Clash but Kazarian comes down and distracts him. AJ connects with a moonsault off the second rope into an inverted DDT for the win.

Winner by pin: AJ Styles

Kazarian pounds AJ in the corner. Kurt Angle comes to the rescue. He hits a suplex on Kazarian and locks in the Angle Lock. Daniels hits Angle with a low-blow from behind. Daniels and Kazarian tie Angle to the ropes with plastic ties. AJ tries to stop them but Kazarian lays him out with the tag title. Daniels hits Angle with the belt and asks for a mic. He says "You're welcome." He says that they have proof of the affair between AJ and Dixie. He plays a call between the two. Dixie is heard inviting AJ over for the weekend and telling him to keep it under wraps. Dixie frantically comes out and rips Taz' headsets off and puts them on and says "Turn this off!!" The show then went off the air.
