Hulk Hogan Denies NEW Appearance, Bret Hart Talks UFC - WWE Connection

- Northeast Wrestling has been advertising Hulk Hogan, "Rowdy" Roddy Piper and a whole host of major stars for their upcoming event at Dutchess Stadium in Fishkill, NY on September 22nd. The promotion has been advertising Hogan for the show for a while, however Hogan wrote on his Twitter tonight that he will not be appearing at the event. Hogan wrote, "Northeastwrestling on oww forums is very deceptive,I never signed to wrestle for any of these independents,won't be there on Sept 22. HH"

Hogan remains listed on the promotion's website for the event. Other names advertised include Vader, Jerry Lawler, Lita and Matt Hardy. The promotion sent out the following message on their Facebook page following Hogan's back surgery yesterday: "Hulk Hogan's surgery went well and he will be ready for Sept. 22nd in Fishkill, NY."

- Bret "The Hitman" Hart was at the UFC 149 pre-fight press conference earlier today in Calgary, Alberta, Canada and was interviewed by MMAFighting.com. During the interview, Hart discussed the connection between MMA and professional wrestling.

"I think there's a lot of similarities between the audience and a lot of the competitors," Hart admitted. "I think they probably grew up as wrestling fans."
