Source: ESPNFormer Chicago Bears defensive tackle and Four Horsemen member Steve McMichael announced today that he plans to run for major of Romeoville, Illinois, a suburb of Chicago. He plans to sign papers declaring his candidacy in October for the April 2013 election.
"I've got a little girl ... and she's going to start school soon," McMichael said of his decision to run. "I've already moved to Romeoville and I plan on her getting her education here. What better opportunity do I have to do for my child and everybody else's child in this town as mayor of that town (then by) doing something about educating them the right way.
"I want you to realize, and you guys can hear this in my voice, I'm dead serious about this. This is not a joke. I don't take people's futures and their family's futures lightly, baby."
