- Antonio Cesaro's WWE United States Title win at SummerSlam was covered as a mainstream story by some outlets in Switzerland.- WWE's 2012 SummerSlam pay-per-view from the Staples Center in Los Angeles actually had 17,482 fans in attendance with 14,000 paid.
- We noted before that it came out Charlie Sheen had a family party the night of SummerSlam that was planned months in advance. While at the party, Sheen was asked about working SummerSlam and joked that it would cost WWE a ton of money to get him to do it. Several WWE sources report that WWE is still interested in getting Sheen to work an angle at a future pay-per-view, possibly WrestleMania 29.
