TNA Impact Results - Championship Thursday, Hardy Vs. Angle, Aries-Anderson, Bully Confronts Devon

This week's show starts with a video recap of recent events involving Aces & 8's and Jeff Hardy & Austin Aries. It's Championship Thursday.

We go to Hogan's office. Hogan thanks Hardy for taking TNA to somewhere it would have never gone. Hardy says whoever Hogan chooses for him to face is in for a fight. Hardy leaves as Hogan wishes him luck.

As Hardy leaves, Angle, Bully, Anderson, and Storm are on the other side of the door. The footage slows down and we hear Hardy's thoughts as he passes each man. Weird.

-We go to the ring and after a short pyro display, RVD is introduced. Jeremy Borash and Todd Keneley are on commentary for the first hour.

X-Division Championship: RVD (c) vs. Zema Ion

The crowd starts a loud 'RVD' chant as the men lock-up. They go to a stalemate after a nice exchange. Ion begs-off in the corner. RVD hits a delayed press slam and 2 moonsaults for 2. Ion goes to the outside to recover. RVD hits a baseball slide under the ropes. Back in the ring, RVD sends him in but Ion ducks and RVD flies over the top and to the floor. Ion hits a dive onto RVD on the outside and brings him back in. Ion hits a vertical DDT in the ring for 2. He stomps RVD's face and goes up top but misses with the corkscrew from the corner. Both men struggle to get up. RVD hits a springboard reverse kick and Rolling Thunder. RVD goes up top and connects with the Frogsplash for the win.

Winner by pin And Still X-Division Champion: RVD

Matt Morgan attacks RVD with a big boot to the face as RVD celebrates his win. Joey Ryan gets in also and talks trash to a laid out RVD while holding the title. Morgan tells Hogan that he should be careful in wishing to see a different side of him.

We go to Austin Aries peeking in Hogan's office door in the back. He berates Hogan's movies as we go to commercial.

We're back as Kazarian & Daniels enter the ring. Kaz says that they are the victims of a conspiracy. Daniels has a clipboard in his hands. They get loud 'You Suck' chants. Kaz says their titles were taken illegally by two men who are probably in this country illegally. They have a petition to get a rematch for their titles. They get signatures from fans at ringside. Chavo & Hernandez come out to the ring.

Chavo says he and Hernandez are here to help. Nothing would make them more happy than to give them a rematch. They take out Kaz & Daniels from the ring. Chavo & Hernandez sign the petition and say anytime anyplace.

-We go to Hogan's deliberations in his office. He asks the men why they should get a title shot. Each man makes his case. Hogan eliminates Anderson because he doesn't have the fire. Aries confronts Anderson as he leaves the office and says Aries was going to give him a shot when Aries was champion. Aries says he's a bigger a-hole than Anderson and they brawl. Anderson gets the upper-hand and Aries challenges him to a match for tonight. Somebody yells 'CUT!' as we go to commercial. Is this a movie?

We return to a meeting of Aces & 8's around a table. Devon says he has spoken to the president and under no circumstances will the masks come off. Devon says he has some ladies for entertainment. He says they have to take someone out tonight. One guy gets up and throws a dart at a poster the TNA roster. Devon says they found their victim and they toast with beers.

TNA Television Championship: Samoa Joe (c) vs. Robbie T.

Robbie T starts off strong but Joe responds with shots to the face. Robbie T lands a big spin kick to the face and lays Joe out. Joe counters a chokeslam with a sleeper but Robbie E. distracts the ref from the apron. Robbie T. fights out but Joe jumps on his back and applies it again. Robbie T. falls on his back with Joe beneath him and gets out. Joe applies the sleeper yet again from a seated position. Robbie T. taps.

Winner by submission And STILL TNA Television Champion: Samoa Joe

We go to commercial.

We return to a highlight package of the Tara-Tessmacher feud.

We go to Tessmacher in the back who appears to be reading cue cards as she talks about Tara and bringing back the Knockouts title home.

-We go back to Hogan's office. Hogan says the logical choice might be in this room or it might be a wildcard. He asks Angle about Bully. Angle says Bully is not focused because he's thinking about his brother. Angle says he doesn't blame him though. Storm agrees. Bully says maybe that's true and if he can't get the title match then he is going to confront his brother tonight to get answers. He leaves.

-We go to Anderson in the back venting to a production assistant about Aries. We go to commercial.

Anderson is waiting for Aries in the ring as we return.

Austin Aries vs. Mr. Anderson

They waste no time to go at it. They shove each other and Anderson calls Aries a bi*ch. They lock horns again, Aries ducks out of the ring to regroup. Back in the ring, they lock again and break with shoves. Anderson's shove knocks Aries down. Anderson mounts him with some ground-and-pound. Aries escapes the ring again. Back in the ring, Aries goes behind and seems to slips brass knuckles into Anderson's tights. Anderson pulls them out and looks confused. The ref takes them out of his hand and Aries clocks Anderson from behind. Anderson fights back in the corner and slams Aries in the center and follows with an elbow for a near-fall. Aries fights back with a headlock and chops to the back. Aries tosses him out of the ring and hits a suicide dive as we go to break.

We're back and Aries is still in control. He sends Anderson in and follows through with a reverse elbow in the corner. Anderson fights out of the corner and sends Aries in but Aries gets his boot up on the follow up. Aries drops a flying knee to the back of the head and gets 2. Anderson looks dazed but they trade shots in the middle of the ring. Anderson lands a couple of clotheslines and hits a swinging neckbreaker. They trade counters but Anderson comes out on top with an Enzuigiri which sends Aries to the outside. Anderson slings himself over the top for a splash onto the floor. He sends Aries in and gets 2. Anderson picks Aries up for a fireman's carry but Aries grabs the ref's shirt and uses it as leverage to get out. He pulls the brass knuckles out of the ref's pockets and swings at Anderson but misses. Anderson picks up the knucks as the ref gets up and sees him with them and takes them away. Aries hits a knockout punch from behind but Anderson lands on top of him and Aries kicks out at 2. Aries applies the Last Chancery to a limp Anderson and gets the win.

Winner by KO: Austin Aries

Aries points to the brass knuckles in the corner and says cheaters never win.

-We go to Brooke in the back with Tara and her boyfriend. Tara says the ODB situation has to stop because she put her hands on her 'boo.' Brooke says Tara has a title match and she needs to get her head together.

-Taz and Mike Tenay join commentary for hour two.

-We go to the ring for Miss Tessmacher's entrance followed by Tara.

TNA Knockouts Championship: Tara (c) vs. Miss Tessmacher

Jesse opens the ropes for her to enter and Tessmacher charges and front-dropkicks her to the floor. Tessmacher attacks her on the outside and sends her in for a near-fall. Tessmacher continues to dominate. Jesse takes his shirt off on the apron and argues with Tessmacher and Tara clocks her from behind. Tessmacher falls to the outside and Tara sends her back in. Tara stops to kiss Jesse. Tara hits a slam and goes on the apron for another kiss. Tara misses with the summersault legdrop from the apron. Tessmacher mount a comeback and hits several high-impact clotheslines and a Stinkface. She face-plants Tara out of the corner and runs the ropes but Jesse pulls them down and she falls to the outside as Tara distracts Taryn, the ref. Jesse sends Tessmacher back in and Tara hits the Widow's Peak for the win.

Winner by pin And STILL Knockout Champion: Tara

Tara and Jesse smooch in the ring. Brooke Hogan walks out and says next week is Open Fight Night and she just got off the phone with ODB. She says ODB wants to challenge Jesse. Jesse is beside himself.

-Bully Ray walks toward the Impact Zone as we go to break.

We're back as Joseph Park enters Hogan's office and asks about Aces & 8's. Hogan says they are gangsters and he has only had one match. Park says Hogan was not the one who was kidnapped. Park hands Hogan a waiver that holds harmless TNA of liability. Hogan says he'll think about it.

-Bully Ray comes to the ring. He thanks Sting for letting him be his partner. He says not many things shock him anymore but when Devon was revealed to be involved with Aces &8's, he was shocked. He calls Devon out. The music hits and the masked men come to the ring. Devon and the men get in the ring and Devon says he owes no explanation. The crowd chants, "You sold out!" He talks about Hogan's tweets about him. He says the brotherhood had his back. He says it's over. Bully says it's over when he says it is. Bully says the night they broke up, Sabin kicked out of their finisher. He says that had never happened before and name drops WWE, WCW, and ECW. He says he will never forget what Devon said to him that night: "What's the big deal? We're rich. Screw the fans." Devon says it's true. Bully says to get rid of the guys he's hiding behind and fight him. Devon says, "No." He says he's going home and they leave the ring. Bully says he has always been a coward and always hid behind him. Bully challenges him to Open Fight Night. We go to commercial.

We're back as Joey Ryan and Matt Morgan are asked in the back about their attack of RVD tonight. Ryan says the rules don't apply to he and Morgan. Ryan says maybe it's time to put some gold around his waist. Morgan says this is Hogan's fault and from now on he will do what he wants and he dares Hogan to stop him.

-We go to a Gut Check vignette for next week's contestant: Christian York.

-Hogan is in the back with Storm and Angle. He gives the match to Angle. Hogan says he has something huge to tell Storm. Kurt Angle makes his way to the ring as we go to commercial.

Jeff Hardy makes his entrance as we return.

TNA World Championship: Jeff Hardy (c) vs. Kurt Angle

Christy Hemme does the formal introductions and here we go. They lock up and Angle hits a shoulderblock but Hardy answers with an armdrag into an armbar. Ankle works his way up but Hardy takes him back down. Angle rakes the face in the corner and takes control. Hardy reverses things in the corner and hits a nice dropkick for 2. Angle gets caught off the 2nd turnbuckle with a double legdrop to the groin and a dropkick to the face for a 2. Angle knocks Hardy to the outside as we go to commercial.

Angle is in control as we return. They hit a double clothesline and both go down. Hardy explodes off the ropes with a flying forearm and hits another one in the corner. Hardy head-scissors Angle out of the ring and follows up with a dropkick through the bottom rope. Hardy flies off the apron with a clothesline. Hardy hits Whisper in the Wind in the ring and gets 2. Angle counters and hits 3 German Suplexes for 2. Hardy avoids the Angle Slam and connects with Twist of Fate. He crawls to the corner and goes up but Angle brings him down with a suplex for 2. Angle hits a vicious powerbomb for 2. Hardy rolls out of the Ankle Lock and kicks Angle off. He goes up top and leaps but Angle avoids the Swanton. Angle hits the Slam for 2. Hardy hits 2 consecutive Twists of Fate an goes up for the Swanton but Angle kicks out. Both men struggle to get up and Angle launches Hardy over the top and to the outside. Angle brings him back in and pulls the straps down. Hardy sunset flips out of the Angle Slam and rolls Angle up for the win.

Winner by pin And STILL TNA World Champion: Jeff Hardy

Hardy raises both belts over his head. Austin Aries attacks Hardy and we barely see it as we return from a replay. Aries says he would like his rematch for the World Title at Turning Point. Aries leaves with the real TNA Title Belt.

-We go to the back as Aces & 8's decimate Kurt Angle. Wes Briscoe comes to his side and yells for a doctor.
