James Storm walks to the ring and says it's been a long hard road but he made it. He thanks the fans for always being there, his family, and the ones who didn't believe in him because it motivated him and now he's the #1 Contender for the World Title.

Bobby Roode's music hits and he comes down with 2 beers in his hands. He says he's not here to spoil the party but to join it. He gives a beer to Storm and proposes a toast to him. Roode congratulates Storm for beating AJ Styles and not him. He slams the beers together and Storm lets it drop and clocks Roode. Roode ducks a Last Call and escapes up the ramp. Storm calls him back in but Roode says no way. He says that is unless Storm puts up his #1 Contender status. Storm says 'screw you.' Roode tells Storm to tell his daughter to call him when she turns 18. Storm obviously agrees to the match and says he's "whoopin' his a**."

-We will hear from AJ Styles about his future. We go to Hogan in a video talking about AJ's momentum right now and how he will now not get a title shot until at least next year at Bound for Glory. He says AJ's his own worst enemy. We go to break.

-We return to video of Sting's brutal beating from last week.

-We go to Aces & 8's. They sit around a table as Doc makes a case for his worth. They tell him he will find out later how they voted. They make him take off his jacket and hand it over. Devon says they have business to take care of and walks over to the pictures of the TNA roster and throws a dart. He says, "That pri*k deserves it."

TNA X-Division Championship: Rob Van Dam vs. Kid Kash

Kash gets the jump on RVD as he enters the ring but RVD soon recovers with a body scissors pin for 2. They grapple back and forth with agility and Kash hits a head scissors takedown to RVD over the top and RVD falls out to the floor but Kash holds on and gets back in. Kash springs over and hits another head scissors to RVD on the floor. Kash sends him back in for 2. Kash comes off the top with a clothesline and catches RVD in mid-spin in the corner. Kash goes up top but RVD moves out of the way of the moonsault and Kash kisses the mat. RVD hits Rolling Thunder and gets 2.

Kash gets up and rakes the eyes and they have a nice exchange of counters. RVD sends him in and hits a spin kick. RVD sends him to the opposite corner and hits a monkey flip. RVD goes up top and hits the 5 Star Frogsplash for the win.

-We go to Eric Young and ODB in the back. Young tells her about a 7-foot shark he caught. She says she loves him. He talks about catching alligators and them peeing on him. They slap 'fives' and say "Power Couple." Young says to imagine the celebration after they win tonight. They kiss and we go to commercial.

-Garett Bischoff asks Kurt Angle in the back if he can be his tag partner tonight. Wes Briscoe says Kurt has been training him since high school and wants Kurt to pick him. Kurt picks Garett but tells Wes he has big plans for him.

Jesse w/ Tara vs. Eric Young w/ ODB

Young locks up with the ref as Jesse looks on from the apron. Jesse catches him from behind and drops him for a 2. Jesse stomps Young and hits a powerslam. Jesse flexes his quads and drops a leg on Young for another 2. Jesse stops to kiss Tara and resumes squashing Young. Jesse applies and abdominal stretch as the ref checks on Young. Young powers out with a hiptoss and starts to "Hulk-Up." He takes off his trunks down to "USA" underwear and turns it up on Jesse. Tara comes in and is hit with a spear by ODB and they roll out. Young hits a powerslam in the ring as ODB stomps Tara on the floor. Jesse hits a standing Stunner in the ring for the win.

-Back from the break and we see footage from Aces & 8's Doc and Joseph Park's match from Turning Point.

-We go to Hogan's office where Joseph Park is begging him for one more match. Hogan says, "no" and says there is a long list of casualties and there are no updates on Sting either. He says Park is not trained to be a wrestler. Park takes that as a suggestion to go to wrestling school. Hogan tries to talk him out of it but fails. Park leaves with excitement as Hogan says, "He won't be back."

-We go to the ring as Magnus makes his entrance but he is met by Aces & 8's at the base of the ramp. Devon clips Magnus' knee with a bat and sicks the dogs on him. He has them hold Magnus down and instructs Doc to hit him with the hammer. Doc strikes Magnus in both knees as Magnus writhes in pain. Devon goes to swing at Magnus' head but Bully Ray runs out and Aces & 8's escape. Al Snow and other trainers come to Magnus' aide as he screams in agony and we take a commercial break.

-Magnus is placed on a stretcher and taken to the back as he moans in pain. He really does a good job of selling it all.

-We see footage from the Aries/Hardy Ladder Match from Sunday.

-Austin Aries is asked outside of a trailer how he's feeling. He takes off his shirt and shows his bruises and walks into another trailer to get a massage. Hardy is already there getting one. Aries says they put on one hell of a match and Aries brought it out of him. He says Hardy needs the massage more than him and leaves. We once again hear Jeff Hardy's thoughts. His thoughts cut an Ultimate Warrior style promo without all the screaming. He talks about entering dimensions and what not.

-Kurt Angle comes to the ring with Garett Bischoff. Kurt says he doesn't need a dart to choose who he wants to hurt. He says nobody threatens Kurt Angle and they're waiting. We go to a break.

-We're back as Christy Hemme introduces Aces & 8's. Four men walk out including Devon and Doc. They try to decide who will get in the ring.

Kurt Angle & Garett Bischoff vs. Aces & 8's

Devon gets in the ring and he takes over on Angle and then he tags in a large masked man. Angle gets the best of the big man and tags in Garett. Garett hits a shoulderblock and follows up with a dropkick. He tags Angle in but Devon interferes from the apron and he tags in to take over on the Olympic Champion. The big man comes back in and keeps the pressure on Angle. Angles hits a German Suplex on the big masked man. Devon comes in and gets one also. Angle clotheslines Devon out of the ring. Garett is attacked on the outside and the masked man in the match grabs Angle in a Full Nelson for Doc to hit him with the hammer. Wes Briscoe comes out swinging a pipe and chases Doc out. Kurt rolls up the big man for the win.

-Tara and Jesse walk toward Brooke's office and decide to just walk in and find her sitting on a couch with Bully Ray. They suddenly get up and Bully leaves. They both look very 'caught off guard.' Brooke tells Tara to decide for herself who she is going to wrestle. Tara tells Brooke to lock the door and she leaves with Jesse.

-We go to Dixie Carter in a video commenting on AJ Styles.

TNA Knockout #1 Contender Battle Royal: Gail Kim, Madison Rayne, Mickie James, Miss Tessmacher, ODB

The bell rings and they all go at it. Mickie hits shoulders to Madison in the corner as Tessmacher takes it to Kim. ODB is down in the corner. Mickie and Gail both turn things around on their current opponents. Gail hits kicks and punches to Tessmacher and throws her to the apron. ODB scoops Gail up but Madison kicks ODB in the gut. Gail and Madison work together on ODB. Tessmacher makes it back in and takes over on Kim but Madison throws Tessmacher out from behind. ODB and Mickie team up against Kim. Madison gets it too. ODB hits a fall-away slam on Gail and does a kip-up. She sits up top and does the Dirty South to Madison and Gail. Taz is great on commentary here. Mickie throws Madison on the apron and ODB finishes her off with spewing mist in her face from the flask and she falls to the floor. ODB runs into Mickie and Gail throws ODB to out and to the floor. Madison fights up against Gail but is hit with a big clothesline. Gail sends her into the corner and stomps her. Gail blows us a kiss. Mickie fights out and does a head scissors over the top but Gail hangs on. Mickie Superkicks Gail out and gets the win.

-We go to James Storm in the back. He says he knows he raised the stakes and knows what the consequences could be. AJ walks by and stops. Storm asks if he can help him. AJ walks away. Storm says he's done. We go to commercial.

-We return to Aces & 8's lair. The main guy tells Doc to not let the door hit him on the a** on the way out. Doc gets up and stares at the men as he starts to leave. He opens the door where a masked man is waiting with his jacket. They all celebrate.

-AJ Styles comes to the ring in an AJ shirt, jeans and a hat down low on his face. He sounds dejected and he says that's the year he's had. He looks into the camera and says he's been accused of banging Dixie Carter and sleeping with a crack-head. He says the worst part is people believed it. AJ says but all is not lost because Thanksgiving is right around the corner. He says that he is not thankful for anything this year. Daniels & Kazarian interrupt and come to the ring. Kaz says AJ's crying all the time. Daniels says every word out of AJ's mouth has been accurate. He tells the source of his problems is in the mirror. Daniels says AJ is a broken man and a complete failure. AJ stays he has beaten Daniels more than Daniels has beaten him. AJ says they need to do it one last time. Kaz says Daniels he has nothing to gain because AJ is stale. Daniels says that this is actually the perfect time to do this one last time. AJ turns his hat around and gets in Daniels face and they exchange words off mic.

-Storm and Roode walk toward the arena in a split screen as we go to break.

-We return to Aries in front of the trailers. He says he has found the buttons he needs to push to make things happen. He says next week's Open Fight Night is not to be missed.

-Kurt Angle approaches Bruce Prichard and Al Snow and asks for Wes Briscoe to be in Gut Check. D-Lo Brown vouches for Wes and calls him a blue chipper. Kurt says Taz loves the idea and he leaves to talk to Taz before he gets an answer from Snow and Prichard as if they said yes.

-Bobby Roode makes his entrance. James Storm makes his way to the ring. Borash makes the formal introductions, with Roode first.

#1 Contenders Match: James Storm vs. Bobby Roode

Storm strikes Roode as soon as Borash says his name and the bell rings. He hits a back body drop on Roode and mounts him up top for punches to the head. Roode comes back and sends Storm out with a reverse shoulder. Roode takes the pad off the turnbuckle behind the ref's back. They each reverse each other's attempts to send their opponent into the steel. Roode takes Storm down with a flying armbar and wraps his arm around the steel post as we take another commercial break.

-We return to action in the ring. Roode is firmly in control. Roode continues to work the left arm of Storm. Storm fights out and they trade shots, toe to toe. Storm hits a Side Russian Leg Sweep and slowly gets up while heavily favoring his arm. Storm hits a series of clotheslines and an inverted atomic drop with a neckbreaker. Storm rushes into the corner where Roode is waiting. Roode launches Storm to the apron and Storm hits him with an Enzuigiri. Roode cuts Storm off up top but Storm brings him down with a big time powerbomb for 2. Roode slides out and hits a spinebuster for 2. Roode applies a crossface but Storm's boot reaches the bottom rope. Storm hits 2 consecutive Closing Times and riles the fans up for the follow up. Roode pushes the ref in the way of the Last Call and sends Storm into the exposed turnbuckle and grabs the tights for the win.
