- Matt Striker noted on his Twitter that he saw two surprise entrants for tonight's Royal Rumble match, writing, "I just saw 2 surprise entrants in tonight's Royal Rumble arrive at the bldng. One had a present for me Remember the Rumble is open to ANYONE"

- Former WCW World Heavyweight Champion Diamond Dallas Page was contacted to appear at tonight's pay-per-view, however a deal was not able to get finalized.
