7/8 RAW Breakdown: Good Numbers For Vickie Guerrero, Bad Numbers For Punk-Orton, More

Due to the 4th of July holiday, The Wrestling Observer Newsletter just posted the numbers for the July 8th RAW, which did a 3.09 cable rating with 4.18 million viewers – the best numbers since May 20th.

In the segment rbeakdown, Sheamus vs. Daniel Bryan gained 183,000 viewers from the opener. The search for The Wyatt Family and a Mark Henry video lost 140,000 viewers. Tensai and Brodus Clay vs. Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns gained 339,000 viewers. Mark Henry and John Cena's face-off gained 424,000 viewers for a strong 3.41 quarter rating at 9pm.

Curtis Axel vs. Chris Jericho lost 250,000 viewers. A backstage segment with Cody Rhodes, Damien Sandow, Fandango, Wade Barrett, Antonio Cesaro and Jack Swagger lost 285,000 viewers. Sin Cara vs. Alberto Del Rio gained 171,000 viewers. Vickie Guerrero's job evaluation gained 553,000 viewers. This was the best non-overrun segment on RAW in a very long time. It finished with a 3.55 quarter rating, way above what the show has been doing.

Kane vs. Christian lost 736,000 viewers. The Wyatt Family attacking Kane, a backstage segment with Ryback and Vickie Guerrero plus AJ Lee & Alicia Fox vs. Kaitlyn & Layla gained 122,000 viewers. The Randy Orton vs. CM Punk main event gained 48,000 viewers, which is terrible for an overrun segment, finishing with a 3.13 overrun rating.
