- WWE announced tonight that Rob Van Dam will face World Heavyweight Champion Alberto Del Rio in a non-title match for this week's SmackDown.
- CM Punk vs. Brock Lesnar for the SummerSlam pay-per-view was made official on tonight's RAW from Austin, Texas. Paul Heyman accepted Punk's challenge on behalf of Lesnar.
