Batista's Movie Opens Today (Photo), WWE Promoting Riddick, Projections For Movie

- Riddick, starring Vin Diesel and featuring former WWE Champion Batista, is now in theaters. Deadline reports that the movie grossed an "unimpressive" $900K in late showings last night, and it may be unable to top a $20M opening weekend. Box Office Mojo projects that the film will open with $21.4M, and that it will be a "nice win" for the film if it can hit $20M.

- WWE.com is promoting Riddick with a feature at this link looking at five occasions when the lights went out. I was surprised that the In Your House 8: Beware of Dog pay-per-view in 1996 didn't make the list. That event featured the power going out early in the show, with only two matches actually being shown on pay-per-view.
