Dana White Says Fighter 'Is Done' Following UFC Fight Night 29

UFC President Dana White spoke with Jeremy Schaap on ESPN's Olbermann and revealed that Rousimar Palhares has been cut following his controversial submission victory at last night's UFC Fight Night 29 event.

Palhares defeated Mike Pierce in just 31 seconds with a heel hook. However, Palhares held on to the heel hook well after his opponent tapped out.

This isn't the first time that the company has fired someone for their conduct immediately after a fight. Renato "Babalu" Sobral was fired after refusing to release an anaconda choke on David Heath at UFC 74 in 2007. Paul Daley was cut from the organization after sucker-punching Josh Koscheck after their UFC 113 tilt in 2010.
