- Though MMA firebrand Nick Diaz announced his retirement following a March loss to UFC welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre, few believe his time away from the sport will be permanent. Following an interview that teammate Gilbert Melendez gave to gathered media indicating that Diaz would come out of retirement given the right circumstances, UFC middleweight Michael Bisping offered to fight the mercurial Stockton native. Though the bout seems unlikely, UFC president Dana White tweeted his approval of the idea.
"I love that fight," White posted of Bisping vs. Diaz.

- Speaking with Fox Sports, MMA veteran Mark Coleman confirmed that he will be serving as BJ Penn's wrestling coach on the upcoming nineteenth season of The Ultimate Fighter.
"Me and BJ Penn have been friends since the beginning of this thing, and I consider him a great friend," Coleman said. "Hopefully he respects my ability to coach some wrestling and hopefully help his team win this Ultimate Fighter. That's the goal to win in the end. I guess he's got confidence in me and he offered me the position to be his wrestling coach on the show. I'm extremely honored and excited to be on the show."
