- Along with confirming this week that UFC on FOX 10 will be taking place on January 25 at the United Center in Chicago, Illinois, UFC president Dana White spoke about the event's top fight. Former champ Benson Henderson will fight fellow top contender Josh Thomson in a bout that White said has major title implications.

"Former UFC lightweight champion Benson Henderson is the current No. 1 ranked contender and he'll be taking on Josh Thomson, who is currently ranked No. 4 and was supposed to fight for the title next before champion Anthony Pettis got injured," White said. "The stakes are really high in this fight and both of these guys want to fight for the belt. Top to bottom, this card is stacked!"

Tickets go on sale for the card - which also features bouts between Stipe Miocic and Gabriel Gonzaga, Donald Cerrone and Adriano Martins, as well as Darren Elkins and Jeremy Stephens - this Friday, December 6.

- The UFC will continue to expand its viewing platforms, beginning with a new digital subscription that it will roll out after the New Year. UFC CEO Lorenzo Fertitta spoke with USA Today this week today and revealed the debut of the service, which will go on to replace UFC.tv.

"The UFC has always been ahead of the game in the digital world," Fertitta said. "The UFC was the first major sporting organization to embrace social media and the first to offer live pay-per-view events across multiple digital platforms. The new digital network continues that tradition of innovation, bringing unrivaled choice to UFC fans."

The pay structure for the new service has not been announced, but it will get off the ground UFC Fight Night 34, which takes place in Singapore, on January 4. Fertitta explained that the UFC's increased show schedule and foreign expansion prompted the development of the new platform, so that hardcore fans can stay on top of the influx of fights.
