WWE NXT Recap: Lumberjack Match For The NXT Championship, American Pitbulls Debut, More

NXT opens this week with Triple H coming down to the ring. He grabs a mic and gets the crowd to chant NXT. He says that tonight is the 200th episode of NXT. Over 200 episodes, there has been some amazing talent come through the developmental system, guys like Damien Sandow, Antonio Cesaro, the Shield, and the Wyatts. The crowd chants five and he brings up Big E. Langston. Triple H promises that the show will get better thanks to the new performance center. He says that NXT is where the future begins. He says that while he wants to thank and congratulate Full Sail University, he will thank the crowd instead. The crowd chants NXT and he does the DX are you ready as the title sequence plays.

Tom Phillips, Tensai, and Byron Saxton are on commentary.

Sami Zayn comes down to the ring.

Sami Zayn and Tyson Kidd vs. Leo Kruger and Antonio Cesaro

Kruger and Kidd start off. Kruger kicks him in the stomach and locks in a side headlock. Kruger hits a shoulder tackle. Kidd counters and tags in Zayn. Kruger backtracks to his corner and Cesaro tags in. They stare each other down and the crowd chants match of the year. Cesaro locks in Zayn's arm and pushes him to the mat. Zayn bridges up, but Cesaro hits strikes to the head. He rubs his knee across Zayn's forehead. Zayn battles back with head strikes, but Cesaro sends him into the corner keeps the attack up. Zayn reverses out and lands a kick. He mounts Cesaro and punches his head four times. Cesaro shoves him off, but Zayn locks in his arm and tags in Kidd.

Kidd gets a pin attempt. He locks in a side headlock on Cesaro. Cesaro shoves him off. Kidd bounds off the ropes and leaps in the air towards Cesaro. Cesaro catches Kidd and hits a backbreaker. Kidd writhes around on the mat as things go to commercial. Back from commercial and Kruger is in control of Kidd. Kidd battles out of the corner with kicks and strikes. He goes for a quick cover on Kruger, and Kruger kicks out. Kruger hits a spine buster. Cesaro tags in and punches Kidd in the side. He uppercuts Kidd. Cesaro lands his delayed Gutwrench Suplex. He locks in Kidd's head on the mat. Kidd fights to his feet, but Kruger tags in. He elbows Kidd in the corner and lands several kicks.

Cesaro tags back in and they double elbow Kidd. The crowd chants we want Sami. Cesaro hits Kidd with a clothesline and big boots Zayn off the apron. Kruger tags in and locks in Kidd's head. He clubs Kidd in the back and Cesaro tags in. The heels try to double team Kidd and whip him to the ropes, but Kidd hangs on to the ropes. Kruger charges and Kidd pulls the ropes down, sending him outside. Kidd goes to the corner and Cesaro leaps at him. Kidd moves and Cesaro collides with the corner. Kruger tags in and grabs Kidd's foot, but Kidd flicks him off and tags in Zayn. Zayn has the hot tag, and mounts a bunch of offense against Kruger.

Zayn lands a dropkick and hits Cesaro off the apron. He goes up top and hits Kruger with a crossbody. He charges Kruger in the corner, but Kruger puts a boot up. Kruger goes for a clothesline, but Zayn ducks and hits his spinout powerbomb. Cesaro breaks up the pin attempt. Kidd sends Cesaro outside and hits him with a senton dive. Zayn hits Kruger with his running corner big boot for the win.

Winners: Tyson Kidd and Sami Zayn

Natalya is backstage watching the match. Emma dances up to her, and Natalya tells her she's going to poke her eye out. Emma apologizes and says how could she interrupt in a sarcastic tone. Natalya says she's just trying to watch the match, and Emma says somebody's changed since they got famous and has no time for the little people, except for when she can have a championship match. Natalya says she's one to talk, and brings up that Emma became the number one contender to the NXT Women's Championship in a dance off. She takes a jab at Emma's dancing.
