John Cena's music hits and he comes down to the ring. A recap of RAW's main event is shown, and Cena says tonight is more important than that because it's the last Smackdown of 2013. He says that the crowd is going to help the WWE Universe ring in the New Year, and then hypes the crowd up.
He says they have to have fun tonight, because once the New Year starts it's all about resolutions and no fun. He says a bunch of funny resolutions he has, one of which is to do a hip hop album with the Great Khali. Cena says he also wants to gain 40 pounds, and he can do it tonight by winning back the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. He says that maybe Orton will walk down to the ring and answer his challenge.
The Shield's music hits, and they come down to the ring through the crowd. Cena readies himself for a fight as the Shield surround the ring and climb up on the apron. They attack Cena and quickly overcome him. Mark Henry's music hits and he runs down to the ring. He takes it to the Shield briefly, but they quickly overcome him as well. Then, Big E. Langston's music hits and he runs down. He tosses Reigns out of the ring. Cena and Langston toss Ambrose out of the ring and Henry tosses out Rollins.
Kane walks out on the stage and says they need to work out their issues before the New Year. He announces that later, Ambrose will face Langston, Reigns will face Henry, and Rollins will fight Cena.
Back from commercial and the Usos are making their entrance.
Harper and an Uso start off. Harper gets back dropped outside. He comes back inside, and the Uso takes it to him. The Uso goes up top and leaps off, taking Harper out. He hits Harper with a super kick. Rowan tags himself in, and Harper hits the Uso with his discus clothesline amid the confusion. Harper hits a big splash and then pins the Uso for the win.

Bray Wyatt gets into the ring and hits one of the Usos with Sister Abigail.
Then, Renee Young is backstage with Randy Orton. She asks him if he has any New Year's resolutions. He says he may enter the Royal Rumble, win it, take Wrestlemania off, and then induct himself into the Hall of Fame and retire as champion.
Ziggler walks up and says his resolution is to be the guy that final shuts Orton up. Orton says it sounds like somebody wants an RKO, and Kane walks up and steps between them. He says he won't tolerate displays of aggression and says that they will settle it in the ring.
They lock up and shove each other around briefly. Cesaro breaks it up. Cody locks in a side headlock and takes Cesaro down. Cesaro reverses and wrenches Cody's arm behind his back. Cody gets out and locks in a front face lock. Cesaro reverses and locks back in Cody's arm. Cesaro gets sent outside, and Goldust taunts him. The two teams stare each other down, and Cesaro and Cody go back inside. Cesaro strikes Cody into the corner. Cody comes back with a pin attempt. They exchange forearms briefly, and Cesaro sends Cody to the outside.
