- Roman Reigns set new a Royal Rumble record by eliminating 12 superstars, beating Kane's 11 eliminations in 2001.
- The New Age Outlaws also broke a record of the longest time between WWE Tag Team Title reigns. Their last reign ended at No Way Out in 2000 against the Dudley Boyz.
