TNA Live Event Results From Dublin, Ireland (1/29): Magnus Defends, Dixie Carter Appears

Thanks to WrestlingINC.com reader Richard Boyd for sending in this report for last night's TNA live event in Dublin, Ireland:

I attended the TNA live show in Dublin, Ireland last night at the National Stadium. The arena was about 3/4 full, with most of the top back rows empty.

* Joseph Park, Eric Young & Ivan Minnock (local TV presenter) defeated Ethan Carter III & Rockstar Spud. This was a comedy match. EC3 and Spud got a lot of heat, while Young was really over. Young's ream won after Young Spud with an elbow off the top rope.

* TNA Knockouts Champion Madison Rayne & ODB defeated Gail Kim & Lei'd Tapa with Velvet Sky as special referee. This match was OK, Rayne got the win after pinning Kim.

* Gunner defeated Bobby Roode. Good match. Roode was a total face no matter what he did. Gunner picked up the quick pin with a roll-up. After the match, Roode attacked Gunner and Kurt Angle made the save. Angle hit the Angle Slam on Roode, who then took off to the back. Angle then thanked the fans for coming.

* TNA X Division Champion Austin Aries defeated Samoa Joe and Chris Sabin in a three way match. This was the match of the night. Aries got the win after hitting Sabin with a brainbuster. After the match, Sabin taunted the crowd and that Joe choked him out.

Intermission

* TNA Tag Team Champions The Bromans (with Zema Ion) defeated Bad Influence. Zema was a heat magnet while talking up The Bromans, while Bad Influence were very over as faces. The Bromans won with The Bro Down.

* TNA President Dixie Carter came to the ring with Magnus. You couldn't hear what she said because of all the boos.

* TNA World Heavyweight Champion Magnus defeated James Storm. Magnus got booed every second of the match, and the only breaks were to chant "paper champion" or "English wanker." At one point, Magnus had the match stopped to have them play the English national anthem, but Jeremy Borash refused to play it. Storm then played an Irish drinking song. Storm had the match won after hitting The Last Call, but Spud his the ring and put Magnus' foot on the rope. EC3 came out and distracted the referee, allowing Magnus to hit Storm with the belt and get the win. It was an OK match.

* Mr. Anderson defeated Bully Ray in a Dublin Tables Match. Fun match, Anderson got the win after hitting the Green Bay Plunge through a table.

Overall, this is the third time I've seen TNA in Dublin, and it was the second best show (last year was awful). But if TNA want to come back to Ireland, they need to get a better location because the arena is a dive. No bar, bad location and overall, a bit run down. However, overall I enjoyed the show.

Biggest Pops:
1) Kurt Angle
2) James Storm
3) Samoa Joe
4) Bobby Roode
5) Austin Aries

Most Heat:
1) Magnus
2) Dixie Carter
3) EC3
4) Zema Ion & The Bromans
5) Rockstar Spud
