- Newsday.com has an interview with former WWE Spirit Squad member Mike Mondo at this link, who was promoting his appearance at New York Wrestling Connection's Psycho Circus XII this Saturday. During the interview, Mondo talked about working WrestleMania and Shawn Michaels referring to him as his favorite cheerleader. He also talked about the Spirit Squad being disbanded after they were stuffed into a crate by DX. "OVW, Louisville, Kentucky," WWE's developmental system at that time, was printed on the crate. Mondo said that he remembered thinking that it "kind of sucks" because the crate was supposed to say, "Tijuana." Mondo also talked about his Spirit Squad partner Dolph Ziggler eventually returning to the main roster.
"The fact that he's had a lot of success with the Intercontinental title, and winning the world title and the Money in the Bank, that's really cool," Mondo said. "So if was not going to be me, I'm glad the next guy in line was Dolph."
