Retired Wrestler To Appear At Extreme Rules, WWE Profiles Sabu, John Cena Featured In Book

- Midget wrestler Short Sleeve Sampson will be appearing at this Sunday's Extreme Rules pay-per-view, most likely as part of the "WeeLC" match between El Torito and Hornswoggle. Sampson, who was a star of Hulk Hogan's Micro Championship Wrestling, embarked on his retirement tour last fall. He has portrayed several parody characters in WWE in the past, and has also appeared for TNA.

- WWE.com has a story here looking at the impact that Sabu has had on the business. The story features comments from Rob Van Dam, Dean Ambrose, Mick Foley and Seth Rollins. Paul Heyman was also interviewed, who discussed Sabu's place in wrestling history.

"Whether Sabu gets the credit in history he deserves, the answer is no," Heyman said. "But who do you blame for that? Do you blame the curator of the industry, WWE, for not acknowledging the contributions that Sabu made? Do you blame Sabu for not staying healthy enough to force history to acknowledge his contributions? Do you blame the audience who only sings the praises of Sabu crashing through tables, and not all the many other ways Sabu was so unique at his height?"

- John Cena is one of 25 athletes featured in the new book, Wish Granted: 25 Stories of Strength and Resilience from America's Favorite Athletes. The book features athletes sharing their experiences of impacting the lives of Make-A-Wish kids. Other athletes featured in the book include Michael Jordan, Michael Phelps, Bethany Hamilton, Danica Patrick and Tony Hawk.
