WWE Denies Footage For Warrior Tribute, More Details On AMC's New Wrestling Reality TV Show

Source: Wrestling Observer Newsletter

- Apparently WWE refused to allow Adam Goldberg to use classic footage on his recent episode of ABC's The Goldbergs that was dedicated to The Ultimate Warrior and featured some pro wrestling themes on it. Warrior and his family were reportedly big fans of the show and his wife & daughters were touched by the tribute. Warrior's daughters were invited onto the Goldbergs set for an episode next season.

- As noted, AMC has picked up a reality TV series based on Billy Corgan's Resistance Pro Wrestling group in Chicago. There will be eight one-hour episodes. The show will be more about Corgan, who is serving as one of the executive producers, and following him as he comes up with ideas for the promotion. There's no official start date or title for the show yet.
