- Dan Henderson will compete for the first time in recent memory without the use of TRT, as the exemption has been banned by both the UFC and the Nevada Athletic Commission. Henderson meets Daniel Cormier Saturday night at UFC 173: Barao vs. Dillashaw.

Henderson is coming off a knockout victory over Mauricio "Shogun" Rua, snapping a three-fight losing streak for the former champion. He appeared on a recent episode of "Inside MMA" to discuss the decision to ban TRT.

"I felt maybe they weren't as educated as they could have been on the whole TRT usage and didn't tackle the real problem of people abusing," Henderson said. "They're gonna abuse drugs no matter what and the guys they already tested, more than anyone else. They kind of dropped the hammer on them instead of across the board implementing random drug testing."

Henderson has competed at the Olympic-level for wrestling, where athletes are forced to undergo intense drug testing. He was allowed to use TRT for the Rua fight due to a ruling by the Brazilian commission.
