In the latest video clip, which you can view above, released from EA Sports, we get a complete round of action involving UFC featherweight champion Jose Aldo and UFC lightweight champion Anthony Pettis. The two have been rumored for potential fights in the past, but thanks to the "gaming world," we can see how it plays out now.
- At the recent Bellator pay-per-view, Tito Ortiz had some harsh words for the UFC and his former boss, Dana White. Ortiz, an ex-UFC light heavyweight champion and inductee into the Hall of Fame, said his name can't be erased from the history books because fans will never forget him.
As one might have expected, White didn't seem to care too much for Ortiz. The two have had several falling outs over the years, but none more so than when Ortiz un-retired and signed with Bellator.
"Who gives a (expletive) what Tito wants," White said (thanks to MMAjunkie.com for the quotes). "Does anybody really give a (expletive) what Tito wants? Good for Tito. Let him stay over in Viacom MMA and make some money and try to stay relevant. I don't care what Tito wants."
When asked whether Ortiz would remain in the UFC Hall of Fame, White remained dismissive.
"It's just sort of a way to honor the guys who have been here, and the way that we've done it, the guys who have been here since we've owned [the UFC], other than (Mark) Coleman and Royce (Gracie)," he said. "Everybody's honored, and Tito was all pumped up the day he went in. He showed up with his white suit and his white shirt and his white tie."
Ortiz was upset about his name not being included when the UFC mentioned Jon Jones' current title run after a victory over Glover Teixeira. Ortiz earned his first win in years when he submitted Alexander Shlemenko at the card, improving to 17-11-1 overall.
