TNA Impact Wrestling Results: Countdown To Slammiversary!

Thanks for joining me for tonight's show, the last one before Slammiversary.

As we open, it's a video of MVP talking about power, and then we see the TNA Heavyweight Champion, Eric Young making his way to the ring.

EY takes the mic while the crowd chants EY – EY – EY.

The champion calls out MVP, his two little buddies, and Dixie Carter. MVP and his group come out together and MVP says he doesn't need Dixie for anything. EY and MVP trade insults until EY makes the request for a fair fight.

MVP says he can't guarantee that. EY says I'm talking to you man-to-man, if I get screwed that's not wrestling and is garbage. EY then says he will do anything to make sure that will happen.

MVP says he will grant EY the opportunity to name the stipulation for Slammiversary if he can beat two of MVP's group tonight. EY accepts and tells MVP that he doesn't think MVP is man enough to take the title from him on Sunday.

MVP names EY's first opponent of the night —- Bobby Lashley.

Bobby Lashley vs Eric Young

When we return from the first break, EY and Lashley are brawling on the floor. When they get in the ring, Lashley shows his power but EY recovers for a quick pin attempt.

Back and forth they go, but every time EY gains a little momentum, Lashley uses his tremendous power to regain control. Lashley then goes to work on the champion's back.

Lashley puts EY in a Torture Rack type backbreaker. EY fights his way out of that hold, but then Lashley applies another version of a backbreaker.

EY flies from the top turnbuckle, and Lashley grabs him in mid-air and nails The Dominator and gets the pin.

Lashley continues to work on EY's back after the pin, and Samoa Joe comes out and makes the save.

Winner of the match: Bobby Lashley – EY is down 0-1 tonight in his quest to win two matches against MVP's group.

Back from the break, EY is being checked out in the back and is told that he shouldn't continue with his matches for the rest of the night.

Samoa Joe is talking and it's announced that it will be Samoa Joe vs Bobby Lashley on Sunday at Slammiversary.

In the ring, it's Bram and Magnus. Magnus says that is tired of being what TNA wanted him to be. He is now going to be the vicious wrestler that Bram wanted him to be.

Willow comes out with a mic, and cuts a promo and talks about being from Jeff Hardy's imagination and he starts a Har-dy chant with the crowd and then changes it to Wil-low.

Willow says he and Jeff Hardy will take on Magnus on Sunday. Magnus says he will have Bram covering his back. Willow keeps talking about us and someone covering his back. With that Willow says that his backup is.......... ABYSS!!!!!!!

Abyss and Willow then clear out both Bram and Magnus and we have Willow vs Magnus at Slammiversary with Bram and Abyss in their friend's corners.

DJ Z is out and introduces Robbie E saying that Robbie has gotten over his fear of clowns.

It's Robbie E vs Knux

Robbie E still looks petrified as The Menagerie make their way to the ring.

As The Menagerie are showing off in the ring, Mike Tenay announces that Kurt Angle will be at Slammiversary Sunday to announce the next inductee into the TNA Hall of Fame.

Knux and Robbie go back and forth with a decent match, but there's more action with all the others on the outside. Knux ends up with the win.

After the match Crazy Steve stuffed his bundle of balloons down the back of Robbie's tights and Robbie runs around like a dog chasing his tail except he is running from the balloons. A little too much on the "clowning" around for my liking, but oh well.

Winner of the match: Knux

EC3 and Rockstar Spud come out for an "Expose" of Bully Ray. They bring out Bully's former girlfriend Brooke Tessmacher and begin to grill her about the secret she is hiding about Bully.

Spud "reveals" that Bully is the father of Brooks's baby. Brook says she hasn't had a baby. As proof they post a picture of Bully and a baby with a huge head. They then are about to teach Brooke how to show respect when Bully comes out and makes the save.

Bully tells Brooke that he's moved on but wishes her the very best in her life.

EC3 comes back and interrupts and he and Bully go back and forth until EC3 says that Bully will put Dixie through a table over his dead body.

Bully challanges EC3 to a Texas Death Match Sunday and EC3 accepts.

In the back MVP is trying to make sure that Kenny King focuses on his match with Eric Young.

After the break, it's EY vs Kenny King

Tenay can't seem to come up with a name for MVP and his cronies. Earlier it was MVP's Group, now it's MVP's Faction. Feel kinda bad for him not having something there to work with.

Even though EY was told he shouldn't continue tonight, he is holding his own very well. However, it's very evident that EY's back is still bothering him.

Remember, EY needs to beat 2 out of the 3 member's of MVP's "Faction" to be able to name the stipulation for Sunday's championship match.

Even though EY is still favoring his back, he goes on the offensive. King continues to recover with high impact moves against the champ.

Out of nowhere, EY hits a piledriver on King and EY gets the pin.

Winner of the match: Eric Young – it's now 1-1 in his best of 3 matches against MVP's faction.

Coming up after the break is a 3-way Knockouts match.

Brittany vs Gail Kim vs Madison Rayne

The winner of this match will face Angelina Love Sunday at Slammiversary.

The first pin or submission gets the winner the Number 1 Contender slot.

Brittany and Madison seem to be working together against Gail when out come the Beautiful People and we go to another break.

When we return, it's Angelina and Velvet at the announce table with Tenay and Tazz.

Angelina and Velvet then dominate the mics and it's difficult to even follow the action in the ring.

Brittany and Madison continue to work together and give Gail an awesome Super Plex that leaves all three competitors laying on the mat.

When they recover, Brittany and Madison go after each other and Brittany sends Madison to the floor. Gail uses that to get Brittany in a Figure Four against the ring post.

After the referee Stiffler is distracted by Angelina, Velvet tries to spray Gail in the eyes with hair spray but misses and gets Brittany instead. Gail hits Eat the Feet and gets the pin.

Winner of the match and the Number 1 Knockouts contender is: Gail Kim

Slammiversary commercials are hyping Kevin Von Erich and his sons being part of Sunday's big event.

Now it's time for the Main Event:

MVP vs Eric Young

If EY wins this match, he gets to name the stipulation for their championship match at Slammiversary.

EY is definately favoring his back as he comes down the ramp, when Lashley and King attack him and start hammering the back of the champion. They throw the weakened EY into the ring and the bell rings as we go to our final break of the night.

Fighting his third match of the night, EY continues to be beaten down in his back area by MVP. If MVP wins, we will see his entire "Faction" at ringside Sunday.

MVP applies a Camel Clutch submission hold trying to get the win while continuing to weaken the Champion's back. EY hasn't been able to show any offense until he throws a couple of punches but that is quickly turned around when MVP nails a big Power Bomb.

Several near falls by MVP, but he can't finish the champion off – even though he continues to damage the back of the crowd favorite.

MVP brings a chair into the ring but uses it to sit down and talk to EY. The referee tells MVP not to use the chair which the Director of Operations ignores and nails Young with the chair to get disqualified.

Winner of the match: Eric Young

Lashley and King join MVP in the ring, but MVP just gloats over the champ and the 3 walk out of the ring. EY grabs a mic.

EY says he gets to name the stipulation and says it will be a Steel Cage Match. Tenay yells, "Hell Yes"!

EY says see you in Dallas and remember I'm just crazy enough.

Very good show leading up to Slammiversary.
