CZW's 13th "Tournament Of Death" took place in Delaware. The company was able to draw a hostile crowd of roughly 1000-1,200 people. This year's TOD was my first time attending at a CZW show. There were a total of 7 death matches on the card.

CZW's own Lucky 13 was able to defeat BJW's Jaki Numazawa in the kick-off to the tournament. MASADA beat Lucha Libre star Aero Boy in the first round match. Skewers were punctured through Aero Boy's head. Honestly, it was very brutal to watch Aero Boy walk around the ring with skewers hanging from his forehead.

Danny Havoc also advanced to the next round by defeating BJW's Masashi Takeda in a light tubes and pool of salt death match. Matt Tremont challenged Jun Kasai in a light tubes bundle match. A pretty brutal match I must say taking into consideration that Kasai kicked a bundle of tubes directly into Tremont's face. Kasai was also able to advance to the second round of the tournament.

MASADA faced fellow CZW peer Lucky 13 in the second round of the tournament. MASADA was once again able to advance to the finals after shattering tubes onto 13's back. Kasai faced Danny Havoc in the second round. It turned out to be a bit more brutal than I had expected. Once again, light tubes seemed to be the theme in this death match. After Kasai defeated Danny Havoc, Matt Tremont attacked Havoc with another bundle of tubes. Tremont then challenged Havoc to a death match at CZW's next event.

MASADA and Jun Kasai faced off in the finals of this year's TOD. A scaffold was put in place while the ring ropes were replaced with barbed wire. Fans were also able to contribute to this match by bringing their own homemade weapons. The match started with a wild brawl through the crowd. Many coolers and trashcans were destroyed as MASADA pile-drove Kasai through a trashcan. They managed to make their way back to the ring just in time to play with some dangerous toys. Light tubes came into play shortly as they smashed them all over each other's bodies. Kasai climbed a ladder after he placed a bundle of tubes onto MASADA's chest and did a splash off top of the ladder. However, he only managed to get a two-count. Kasai then placed a larger sack of tubes onto MASADA and climbed the scaffold for another splash. The ring was covered in glass and powder from the tubes. BJW's Jun Kasai ultimately MASADA for the three-count to become this year's TOD winner.
